Summary: I would give this Vizio laptop negative stars if I was allowed. I ordered one and, bonus, it showed up earlier than expected even though I cheaped out on the shipping and chose “free.” I opened up a very beautiful laptop designed in California (which was important enough to note on the side of the box). The box was slightly abuse which was to be expected from reading online reviews. What was not expected was the laptop to not work at all. What does that mean you ask?
Summary: I plugged it in and it worked for less than a minute. Then it got really hot and stopped working completely. Do not recommend buying this unless you can rig the original power supply box to the tip and the wall plug like I had to do.
Summary: As a "refurbished version", first of all, the power adapter is not original, it is a cheap one; Secondly, according to the hardware-testing software, the hardware is used for more than 70 times and more than 400 hours, could you still tell me this is a "refurbished version".
Summary: Broke after one month of nominal use. Wires coming apart. The adapter piece fell apart. I wish it would have been better. This may have been one of those "too good to be true" kinda deals. Oh well.
Summary: We purchased this product November, 2012. September, 2013 there was a problem and we found out that Vizio WOULD NOT HONOR ANY WARRANTY because it was sold by Amazon through a NON_APPROVED seller! If this is the case with Vizio, I wonder how many purchased products from Amazon do not have a warranty because the seller is not authorized by the maker of the product.
