Summary: For anyone with Windows problems: My copy came with a fresh install that needed setup and activation. It took me a while to realize that the Windows COA sticker was on the charger and not the computer itself. I used the code on the charger and it worked perfectly. After that, you'll have about two hours worth of updates to download, as the machine only comes with SP1. Once I got everything installed, all the issues with video and trackpad were resolved.
Pros: Cosmetically Excellent. Fresh install of Windows, no bloatware. Fast boot, excellent display.
Cons: Trackpad takes some getting used to. No ethernet or SD slot. Battery listed at 4 hours under best performance settings. I need to tweak power and display to see how long it really lasts.
Summary: I'm just going off to college, and I got this laptop. It's absolutely amazing!! Only a few issues occur every now and again, mostly with the mouse, but I'm sure with a few driver updates, it'll be fine. It was a great purchase.
Summary: Overall not a bad machine. I get very good battery life and the laptop runs cool. The only complaint I have is the keyboard which is so flat, I have no feel for where I am on the keys. I get tons of typo. You get used to it and it get less of an issue over time. A better keyboard would make this a sweet machine.
Summary: Bought this in October 2012, in March 2013 the hard drive failed. It was still under warranty. They fixed it up and returned it very quickly. Great service! As I understand these ssd hard drives fail often and suddenly. So do back up your computer. Not thrilled with Windows 8 which is not Vizio's fault. The ssd hard drive makes it very fast. I use an external 3.0 with a Seagate Momentus hard drive. This too is very fast.
A great alternative to some more...famous...computers

Summary: I was a bit hesitant to purchase this ultrabook due to the very late entry of Vizio to the computer market. Anyone and everyone can tell who they are trying to mirror with this product and, thankfully, they largely succeeded. I have switched laptops pretty regularly, searching for the best within my price range. What I like about this ultrabook especially are the following - PROS 1.
Summary: Wasn't too sure when I first purchased, but after opening it and using it for a couple of days, I can say this is a great little laptop. Performance is good and has been reliable so far. By no means this is a gaming or heavy duty machine, tho you could abuse it a little and would take the heat just fine. Build quality is solid and looks great. My biggest complain and I see several other users complaining is the track pad.
Summary: I don't know a lot about computers so I did some research on what I should look for in a laptop for school and web browsing and this one has most of those specs and decided to go for it. Very happy with the purchase, it boots up very fast, the 14 inch screen is in my opinion a great size, Windows 8 takes some time getting used to and familiar with. The trackpad is not bad, the keyboard is ok. Not having a CD-ROM drive is not a big deal to me.
