Review Toshiba Tecra R940-1FL Notebook

Notebookcheck
21 May 2013
  • Summary: Serious little thing. A 14-inch screen, Intel Core i5-3320M CPU and comprehensive features: Toshiba enters the stage for business notebooks once again and praises the Tecra R940-1FL as the perfect companion for business trips. Our review shows if business customers should have a closer look.
  • Pros: Simple business design, Matte display, Good connectivity, Touchpad can be deactivated, Integrated AccuPoint, Stays cool, Low noise levels, Good battery runtimes, No throttling under load, The convenient noise levels of the Toshiba Tecra 940 during office tasks. We also liked the good connectivity of the business notebook (LAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, 3G/UMTS) and the simple yet nice design.
  • Cons: Hard drive instead of SSD, Bad viewing angle stability, Bad speakers, Average display brightness, bad contrast, Insufficient performance for 3D games, High price, A better display with a higher contrast ratio and better viewing angles. An SSD would improve the performance of the Tecra R940.
