Toshiba Satellite U925T-S2120

PC Magazine
22 March 2013
  • Conclusion: Although it has all the ingredients for a good ultrabook or tablet, like an agile processor, svelte chassis, and attractive screen, the Toshiba Satellite U925T-S2120 misses the mark by trying to be both. The end result is a so-so ultrabook and a bulky tablet that converge through an awkward sliding hinge mechanism.
  • Pros: Thin and portable. Agile Intel Core i5-3337U processor. Built-in IPS panel. Solid battery life. Adjustable display angle.
  • Cons: 128 GB drive. Cramped keyboard and touchpad. Tablet feels unwieldy. Exposed hinge on the system's rear is an eyesore.

A normal-looking ultrabook with a trick up its sleeve

theverge.com
26 October 2012
  • Summary: The U925 is a laptop that sometimes pretends to be a tablet. It doesn't pretend very well — it's just too heavy to be a tablet — but I still like that I can fold it down and rest the screen on my lap when I'm watching a movie. Other than its shape-shifting gimmick, though, the U925t unfortunately just doesn't bring much to the table. It's an unattractive machine with very average performance, and just enough problems (like the trackpad issue) to give me pause.
  • Pros: Big, responsive display, Slider makes it usable as a tablet, Solid complement of ports
  • Cons: Unattractive design, Gets hot and loud while gaming, Small, finicky trackpad, Lots of bloatware

Toshiba Satellite U925t Review

LAPTOP Magazine
22 October 2012
  • Summary: Like the Sony VAIO Duo 11 , the Toshiba Satellite U925t tries to marry a tablet and a notebook into one device, but it's not the most elegant solution. While we like that we can adjust the angle of the display, the sliding motion itself feels awkward. Furthermore, at $1,149, we expect a higher resolution screen, as with the U925t's competitors. The battery life is also short for an Ultrabook.

Ultrabook™ Toshiba Satellite U925t-SP2160SM

parentesis.com
8 May 2013
