Toshiba Satellite U920T-108

rpiddocke, CNET
6 December 2012
  • Summary: After owning this for a week, it has been recalled by the shop I bought it from (Costco) due to the screen becoming 'dislodged'. Costco is great for protecting their customers. However, my experience with Toshiba has not been great and although I don't really agree with rating a product based on...

Nice Laptop But Serious Design Issues

Coincidence Vs Fate, Amazon
3 June 2015
  • Summary: I had one of these from new. It is light, fast and easy to use. However, there is one major flaw. The screen slides along and up from the keyboard when using it in laptop mode.

Dylan Hinde "MrApache101", Amazon
15 April 2014
  • Summary: The SSD is subtier, with only a 300 MB transfer rate, which is pretty bad for an SSD nowadays. Touch screen stopped working

SWhite, Amazon
28 March 2014
  • Summary: This seemed to be working fine to start with, however the screen stopped working. I paid £50 for a service and it still doesn't work. Toshiba say I need to go back to windows 8, even though it was working ok for a while on 8.1. Really not very happy with this at all as it looks unlikely to resolve.

Fantastic Product

L. Wolfe "XØ", Amazon
26 March 2014
  • Summary: Looks much better in real life than on the product page! Absolutely fantastic computer, more than big enough, the touch screen means that you can use it like a tablet or like a proper laptop when you use the keyboard. Very fast processor, too. Well worth the money. Would definitely recommend.

very nice computer with terrible keyboard and battery

Vitibus, Amazon
11 March 2014
  • Summary: the device is powerful and does pretty well its job but what a terrible keyboard! sometimes I have to type the same sentence 3 times because the space bar doesn't depress completely and make the words jammed together.

telstar, Cnet.co.uk
3 February 2014
  • Summary: I have Win 8 on mine which is great so I thought I'll spend the £40 and upgrade to 8M Ram - forget it. Case is closed with a specialised screw in the base. Therefor you have to pay for uplift, engineer and ram all coming to about £150.
  • Pros: It has been a good experience but ....
  • Cons: .... don't expect to upgrade it.
