Excerpt: i bought this pc toshiba, xp, satillelite about 4 years ago in orlando, FL. from best buy for about $400 max. It has given me alittle bit of issues within the first 2 months the hardrive crashed, it has a one year warranty so the whole computer was replaced for me at no cost, the only down fall was that it was not with me for about two weeks and I had to wait to get another one.
Summary: I really like the dual core 1.4ghz AMD Neo processor. It's much faster than the 1.6gb Intel Atom processor in most netbooks. The ATI graphics are much better than the Intel GMA 950 graphics found in most netbooks too. The Toshiba T215D also uses DDR3 memory, compared to the DDR2 memory found in most netbooks. DDR3 memory uses 30% less power, it's faster, improves battery life and cheaper to upgrade too.
Summary: I searched for about a month looking at netbooks and small laptop PCs. What I wanted was netbook size with laptop horsepower. I am very glad to have found this. The dual core processor is fast. The Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS runs flawlessly. Great keyboard. Got a Logitech laser mouse. I'm going to back up my quad core desktop on this machine, as well as use it for business travel.
Summary: Arrived as expected. I really like the chiclet-design keyboard. Product is good as advertised. A hybrid of netbook and laptop but the design is a bit too masculine for my mom with its chrome finish. Best of all, if you're not satisfied with the 2GB memory, it's expandable to 8GB (2x4GB)! Battery lasts for an average of 3 hours of surfing and watching videos. I don't know where they got the 9 hours. All in all, great product from Toshiba. Thanks Amazon!
Summary: Whatever good you've read about this computer is true. It's VERY portable and light (even fits in a small portfolio case as it's about the size of a standard sheet of paper but thicker.) I swapped a MacBook out to get this one. It's smaller, lighter, faster, works better with Windows and a great value. It has full Win 7 64 bit support and is very fast for what I do. It connects well with both public and private networks.
Summary: I know this is listed as a laptop, but I consider it to be more in the netbook category (i.e. portable second computer). I'm going to echo all the other people who 5-starred this product because it is fast, incredibly light, and has an extremely nice layout. Initially, i was worried about this netbook running windows 7, which generally is slow on most netbooks, but this toshiba handles it superbly.
Summary: I have been in the market for a netbook for many months but had difficulties committing myself. I needed a second laptop to take some weight off my shoulders but at the same time it should be powerful enough to run my PowerPoint lectures smoothly, or let me do office work without being slowed down. I looked at many of the 10" netbooks but couldn't find the right one.
