Excerpt: I have had this Toshiba Satellite laptop for approximately 2 months and while it is very dependable in some ways it tends to shut down the Interent Browser quite often. I am also not pleased with the volume and quality of the sound available with the built in speaker. It is fine with the use of my Logitech Headset that is USB connectivity, but if I try to use the regular headphone or microphone hookups the quality is poor and the microphone squeals no matter what level I...
Excerpt: This notebook has been the best one I have EVER owned and trust me I have owned alot!!!! Is fast easy to use, even my 50 yr old mother who is not good on computers is able to use and not get fustrated with this notebook GREAT BUY!!!
Summary: I love this computer. I needed a small (under 12") laptop for web, music, movies and some word/excel stuff. Thought about getting the Toshiba mini but those only have 1GB RAM, they feel flimsy, and I wasn't excited about the Intel Atom chip. Many people buy the Mini and upgrade to 2GB RAM, but for the same price you can get this 2GB/faster processor machine and be set up with Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium as well.
Summary: I personally like this 11.6 notebook. It looks very nice on the outside and inside (with a texture touch pad). I also like how light weight it is! The only thing I wished could have been better was the battery life which was only 4 hours. The webcam isn't that great either because it sort of lags. However I would recommend this small and simple laptop for students/school use.
Summary: very nice overall but a few cons and warningsneeded to buy a mouse as the touchpad was a little sticky, especially vertical scrollingdoes not come with an installed e-mail server so it took forever [...]to figure out I had to download WINDOWS LIVE so I could use the letter icon and forward mail to friends.GREAT USING SKYPE FOR VIDEO CALLS
