Summary: I needed a new laptop because my hard drive went out on my last one. This connects to the internet quick, has good speed and functions great...Negative is Windows 8...it's NOT user friendly, hard to find your files, save pictures to load later, I go straight to the "desktop" portion so I can have at least some funcionality. As a general use computer its good, for a work computer, not so much with the Windows 8.
Summary: I have tried using other brands of laptop, but return to Toshiba. It is a quality laptop and perfect for my needs as a home user. My only regret is being unaware of what a nightmare Windows 8 would and continues to be.
Summary: I bought this computer 4 weeks ago and so far it has met my expectations, it is fast, the design looks great and the price was reasonable. The speakers are decent, I think there are computers with better sound, but this one is not bad, they are clear and the volume can go up more than in Asus laptops.
This is literally the best computer for just about any student of any age.Doubles as damn nice dorm room TV +DVD / BluRay player

Summary: You can price shop as much as you want and you never find this much power for the dollar. Toshiba manufacturers their own LCDs and hard drives two of the most important and expensive parts. The Toshi's ability to run numerous heavy applications simultaneously gives every student access to the tools to be successful. It cleaves through Microsoft Office almost like it is angry at it ! Photoshop and Creative Suite run with ease.
Summary: I had to replace my hp laptop because of heating issues. The price was good for a computer with such features. I needed a 16' screen because of my research work. It is fast & comfortable to use. I don't use videos so i can't comment about that area. I had a toshiba before and I never had problems with it. That's why I decided to buy another one.
