Summary: The tech support through Toshiba sucks, If they need to do anything but basic trouble shooting they tell you that you will have to pay for support. That is not good as I have said I have not had this computer even a year. If I could I would send it back and exchange it for something else.
Pros: Computer will run games like Crysis 3, Great graphics in the Radeon 7670m with 2 gb video memory dedicated.
Cons: Well so far I have had some setting get croupted and had to reset my computer and that made me loose everything on it. and now I am getting a message after I but up about the cooling system failing and that I need to send this computer to repair. the computer is not even a year old and had a serious issue and the cooling system is working fine even though I get that message. Also you cant download Radeon Drivers from ATI because of some wierd setup thing that Toshiba ...
love the machine, a little less thrilled with windows 8

Summary: I love this computer, the speakers are loud enough to watch shows (unlike my old laptop) and the keyboard is comfortable.I also like the placement of the mouse, I am not accidentally hitting it every 5 seconds. However, I am not thrilled about windows 8, initially i hated it, but now that I have learned to use it a little more it is growing on me.
Summary: Overall, this laptop is good for the price. The only thing I would claim is they are quit careless on assembly. A corner of one piece of back board was raised up when I got it. I pushed it back. But the laptop is running well so far.
Summary: Stylish laptop with a nice layout. The problem with this laptop is the lack of backlit keys. Amazing how you don't realize you miss that feature till it's not there. Also, windows 8, I wanted a laptop not a tablet. Windows 8 is designed for a touch screen interface and is irritating on this format. Currently looking to change it to a windows 7 format and then I think I'd bump this rating up a star.
Summary: I bought this because I have had good lack with Toshiba products. However, for some reason (I'm sure someone will have an opinion) they offset the keyboard and although it is in centered on the letter keypad, it just doesn't seem right. There is numerical keypad to the right and I presume they centered the touch pad with the letter keypad for that reason. But for me it is not good. I feel like I'm only utilizing 2/3 of the computer since the number keypad is rarely used.
Summary: I bought this computer for my brother over 3 months ago. Because he wanted a fast gaming PC. Until now everything has been working properly except for the fact that you have to be less than 5 meters away from the wireless router to be able to use the WIFI, while all the computers, even the cell phones get WiFi signal in my bedroom this Laptop just do not.
Summary: This is my first Toshiba laptop (Satellite S855-S5254, 15.6 " screen) and it was purchased online. While generally a good laptop, it has an annoyingly excitable keyboard that will double, triple, or more, the letters you are typing. In one disastrous case, I hit the delete button to delete a word and it deleted the rest of the text of a long manuscript.
Summary: I purchased this laptop for its longevity rating and resource power in order to use it daily for movies, music, and internet. I was prepared by reviews for it to be overloaded with bloatware, and it was. This is a bit of a problem because, due to vague program names, it's very difficult to discern which ones are redundant, unnecessary, or actually desirable. Not a biggie. What is a major issue is that the lack of volume on this thing is ludicrous.
Summary: It is a "nice" computer. It is good looking and the sound is a little above par for a laptop, but nothing mindblowing. The biggest disappointment is the graphics that my old Dell Inspiron 1100 seems to be able to surpass.
