Summary: I bought it, waited a week, was told they were out of stock, and got my money back three days later. If it wasn't a third party seller, I'd be done with amazon. As it is, I'm going to go take a look over to take a look at Ebay.

Summary: It has over heat and very noise issue... Since I have a warranty I called customer service and explained about my issue. They asked me to Ship my laptop on my own expenses then they will take care of these issues without any cost. Once I shipped they sent one email saying that I have to pay $ 308 including labor charge and taxes. Again I called them asked about this, for that they are telling after 6 days some of the parts will not cover under warranty.

Summary: I loved my new Toshiba when I bought it last December...so fast, the keyboard sweet to use... ...then the hard drive died. Not completely. Just sometimes...resulting in crashes... After having some trouble getting the data off the hard drive (not Toshiba's problem) ... I saw another one, for the same price, with 50% more memory. So I sucked it up, and bought that. In April. Took another month or so for me to put it in use ...
Could not complete set up - Computer kept freezing.

Summary: I could not get thru the set up process without this computer freezing up. I tried about 5 times and finally got the computer registered. Then tried to set up my email and again... kept freezing. I called the the stores Tech assistance and do appreciate their help. After about an hour on the phone with them I decided that maybe I had a lemon and decided that if it started out bad, it probabaly would not get much better.
Summary: This particular Toshiba (Toshiba Satellite S855-S5165 Laptop) was a cheap product! The plastic surrounding the screen did not fit securely. It felt like it could easily become separated from the screen and the lid. It felt like the plastic was made for another model that was a slightly different size and used for this product anyway. I returned the laptop to the store.
Summary: I had the laptop for 3 months. After 2 months I got trouble connecting to internet after computer went to the safe mode. After calling Toshiba, I was first told that my phone technical support has expired, because they had incorrect purchase date. After fixing that, I was told that my support expired yesterday.
Summary: This laptop has been horrible. Since day one right out of the box its frozen on me, it even froze while writing this review. Im not sure if I got the short end of the stick I saw all the great reviews and thought it would be a great laptop, but every time I turn it on I expect it to freeze with the hope that it wont, but it still does. Ive called toshiba 5 times(spanning 4 hours and they dropped my call) and have completed 2 full recoveries but nothing has worked.
Summary: It CRASHED -- and does not come back up -- after less than 4 months of very little use. Everything you've read about Toshiba's lack of support is true. It's basically a paperweight now. Extremely disappointed and will never buy another computer from Amazon. Giving it only one star because ZERO stars is not possible.
