Disappointing unit with bad internet connectivity.
Summary: Looks flash but no dash. Wifi receiver sucks on this unit and I'm seriously considering returning it. Internet connectivity is a major issue. Heavy unit also. The only cool factor is the touch screen, however screen doesn't fold back so touch screen becomes a moot point. Processor is slow considering specs. Overall a real disappointment since it does not perform anywhere near the specs it provides.
Summary: We purchased the S75 about 8 months ago and it has been trouble free. The keyboard takes some getting used to from our 15" screen toshiba. The screen awesome as is the I7. The windows 8.1 took some getting used from windows 7 also but that had nothing to do with the laptop.
Summary: I really like my new Toshiba. I had an HP with AMD processor and the fan was loud and it started overheating. Toshiba is my favorite for a laptop computer, because I had one before. I would recommend them to anyone.
Summary: great computer; great laptop; law practice use in office daily and traveling and weekend use for nine months now; immediately added a full sized mouse, so don't know about any pad issues, but had none during set up except my large thumbs getting in the way; speakers are weak though and will distort when turned up even modestly, which is disappointing at just under $1K price point, so don't buy for movie watching; love the backlit key board and will never go back; the...
Pros: everything high quality; great business machine
Cons: weak speaker distorts at even low levels don't buy for movie watching
Summary: I bought this computer a few days ago. There was no manual with it and no way listed on the support website to get one; printed or electronic. Their help menu shuts down when it asks what the problem is and you click none of the above. I haven't even turned it on yet and am so mad I will return it.
Pros: looked nice
Cons: no support from toshiba. many others had problems. it seems the customer does not count many vowed to never buy toshiba again. me too!
Summary: This laptop replaced my HP Windows 8 laptop because I could not stand the new "metro" operating system. It took me a while to find a laptop with all the specs I wanted, and windows 7, but here it is. This laptop is excellent. Toshiba Satellite laptops are really superb. This will be my 2nd satellite. It's fast, the screen is great, the backlit keyboard helps a lot, the speakers sound great, and there's plenty of RAM and hard drive space to go around.
Summary: I've had this Toshiba for a month, no problems, everything works, and fairly fast. Keyboard is fine, I've left the plastic on over the mouse so it's not ultrasensitive. Whovever complained does not have this model. I replaced a 2 year old high end HP, whose DVD never worked, the hinge broke, and eventually the hard drive crashed. If you even think about an HP-forget it, they look pretty, but treat you ugly. This Toshiba is like fresh air to the $1200 HP.
Decent laptop till it breaks, then terrible customer service!!

Summary: Laptop was great until the hard drive stopped working. I called customer support and they had me step through the process of restoring from the restore partition. After restoring from the partition, it would not longer boot and since the laptop was now blank they said it was a software problem and that they would not provide recovery media even though it was their idea to restore it. They charged $39 for the recovery and then $200 for the new hard drive.
