  • Summary: Nice machine! Not a big fan of the "clickpad" though. Would prefer buttons by the touchpad like my last Toshiba Satellite.

Somewhat disapointing

2014gmcpickupguy, Costco
  • Summary: After start/setup noticed after 1st shut down and startup the following day the time/date would not hold. Set time couple of times after installing antivirus software, still had problems holding the correct time/date. Google problem other Toshiba owners with the same problem, installed a operating system software update seems to be working. Will check after 24 hour shut down. If problem reoccurs will physically return to Costco.
  • Pros: partners @ work have toshibalike the graphics
  • Cons: spent way to much time with date/time issue

Expected much better performance

METALFAN, Costco

  • Summary: I've had this laptop for about a month. The performance of this laptop has been disappointing, even though I don't have many apps running on it. Slow to start up, slow to launch applications, slow to scroll up and down, sometimes slow to react to key strokes when typing a URL into the browser. Other reviewers found left clicking the touch pad to be a nuisance since it requires a good deal of effort from the finger.
  • Pros: good build quality plays blu ray discs without an issue nice keyboard
  • Cons: really slow (has been this way out of the box) "left clicking" the touch pad requires effort

  • Summary: The Toshiba S75 is an outstanding laptop and because of Costco an outstanding value. This computer does everything you could ask of a laptop and more. It is fast, light and was a breeze to set up. Thank you Costco.
  • Pros: truly state of the art

OK, but some serious issues

mmmagique, Costco
29 March 2015
  • Summary: I have had this for almost 90 days now. Certain keys on the keyboard sometimes don't work at all, sometimes only work when using the shift key, and sometimes all of them work. I write a lot and need the keys to work all the time. I don't think the picture on the screen is as sharp and clear as it should be. Before this, I had a Samsung laptop that worked well for almost five years. I am very disappointed in this 90 day wonder.
  • Pros: it's a nice big laptop!
  • Cons: certain keys don't work consistently.

Great laptop!

jesusfreak, Costco

  • Summary: I don't know why people are bad mouthing this laptop. It's great! The best I've ever had. The only complaints I have is that the mouse pad is all in one big piece, with no buttons. It's a bit of a pain, but still works well and it's a small price to pay for a good, reliable computer. The colors on the screen images do not look quite as bright and pretty as on my old Acer, but the screen still looks just fine and very nice. Still great quality images.
  • Pros: reliable i7 processor works great nice look great loud speakers
  • Cons: mouse pad is all one piece screen images not quite as bright and colorful

Stay away from Toshiba products! Warranty policy is horrible!!!

C. Wong, Amazon
25 March 2015
  • Summary: Stay away from Toshiba products! The DVD drive stopped working after 6 months. I called Toshiba for service because it was still under warranty, but they require you to ship your computer to them for service while also forcing you to pay $39 for postage - most other manufacturers will pay your postage fee for you if you are still under warranty.
