Summary: I needed to buy a new laptop last fall; my old HP Pavilion was getting long in the tooth. I was interested in a 'portable desktop' rather than a lightweight laptop; furthermore, I wanted an 1920x1080 display (like the HP), Win7 installed, and as much memory as I could get in the system.
Summary: This is a nice laptop overal. My biggest gripe with this one however is how it's designed. First, there is a metal plating around the mouse pad. That plate gets cold to the touch; it makes me wish there was some sort of casing I can put on.

Summary: Purchased 3 weeks ago; worked fine for 1st 2 weeks then started having problems with video driver freezing up all the time; also got three blue screen of deaths in one day.. Called tech support and then said it was a software problem and I had to pay for them to fix the problem.
Summary: The fastest computer I've owned so far! I purchased this Toshiba to run Creo Parametric for my Engineering student career. So far it's great, it's running the program much better than a previous lower end HP I owned before. I feel that this Toshiba packs a punch for cost.
Summary: This is a pretty good laptop and the specs are quite good for those that need some power. I would say that my least favorite thing about this laptop is the screen. It appears that the newer Toshiba Satellite laptops have funky screens.
