Summary: If I could give this computer zero stars I would. I receive this laptop brand new and the monitor will not turn on at all, then after a couple of minutes the rest of the computer (motherboard) will turn off completely. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Toshiba is not a good computer anymore. DO NOT BUY!

Summary: We've had the laptop for less than a year and it is physically falling apart. I called Toshiba and they will not stand behind their product. Thank heaven I purchased an extended warranty. I will not be buying another (or recommending) Toshiba product.

Summary: I've owned this laptop for a few months now and the problems just keep going. Surprisingly, I've read several negative reviews about the touch screen - that is the one feature of this laptop that does seem to work (although even that is starting to get worse).

Summary: I bought this exact laptop from Office Depot 11/27/2014. As a public service, I am communicating this: ANY PHYSICAL PART OF THE LAPTOP THAT YOU CAN SEE IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I am having trouble with my hinges and went to the Toshiba website. The website referred me to an 800 #. Back and forth.
I've owned several brands of laptops & Toshiba has the worst customer support of all. Plus, the warranty isn't really 1 year

Summary: The biggest problem consumers should be aware of is that customer service is non-existent. So if you have any sort of problem with your $800+ product, you're essentially on your own. Fortunately, my *only* problem so far hasn't entirely made the laptop useless.
Summary: Specs are great, quality is poor. The touchpad has been a disaster from Day One. I spent two weeks trying to get the tap-to-click sensitivity to an acceptable level and failed utterly. I finally found a registry hack to disable it entirely.
