Summary: Worst laptop ever ! The only thing laptop manufacturers have to do nowadays is to 'Assemble' the components and toshiba failed miserably in that simple job. The machine gets heated like i am running a nuclear plant and poor fan tries to cool it down as this nuclear plant has caught fire. Hence comes the noise. and that risk to running an extremely hot machine on ur lap.
Summary: It's the worst laptop I ever had so far. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying it. After using it I always have headaches, it freezes all the time, it has a bad internet connection. It's made out of extremely cheap plastic and it breaks easily. I am leaving this post, because I don't want anyone else make such a big mistake by buying one of these.
Pros: Most of it nothing
Cons: It's one of the slowest and most useless laptops ever
Summary: got mine over a year ago i3 model, on special at PCworld for £429. Didn't want another big heavy laptop but still wanted full functionality. Tosh was a bargain and have been very pleased with it especially the bluetooth which many more expensive laptops don't have.
Summary: I am very disappointed to see other people with the same problem, I only purchased the laptop in Nov'11, in Jan'12 I returned it to Computer Mania, who sent it to the supplier and they replaced the fan and tested it. It is still overheating, I even bought a cooling station and it is still overheating, I can't even put my hands on the side, it is so hot.
Summary: I bought this device about three months ago, and I noticed that when I plug a headset into the right port for it .. the sound that comes out got a problem. Let's say I plugged the headset and played a song.. I can only hear the music and the background sound not the main sound. Is it a software or a hardware problem? please help ASAP, it bothering me. PS:When I play the song on the speakers it sounds perfect.
Summary: This is probably the worst purchase i ever made. 1. The fan is too noisy and never stops. In normal operation there is a constant high pitch noise that is audible three to four meters away in an office environment - in high load you just can't stand it. The fan never stops, even when you are doing nothing. 2. Heat is a big problem.
Excerpt: Quick impressions... for this i3, 360G hard disk, 4Gb DD3Ram. Speakers: awful!!! I heard they were bad, but really they sound like the ones on a phone.... at the point that even if i speak on skype i prefer putting my headphone on. For example i'm going to have a skype interview and I'm worried of not getting what they say... keyboard, noisy! But honestly I'm getting used to it...
Summary: Im after this laptop. Pc world has it for £649 in store and it says its 1.96kg, i asked them to put the battery in so i could see how heavy that was. I presume its 1.96kg with battery? So why does it say 1.4kg on the internet? Is this the weight with or without the battery? I will be using it on the move away from mains so need it as light as possible to fit in my rucksack! Cheers!
Summary: I've owned this notebook for a couple of months, and the keyboard is driving me mad. I took it back to the shop after the first week, where they altered some settings and managed to persuade me that the problem had been resolved - but it hadn't. Whenever I type something, I have to retrace my steps to insert spaces between words, because the space bar often fails to register unless you press it firmly in the middle part of the bar - my left thumb by default tends to...
