Good cheap laptop
28 January 2015
Excerpt: I needed a reasonably priced mid range laptop to replace mine that had a broken screen. The Toshiba satellite c850 seemed to fit the bill nicely for what I needed, something with good speed, and good memory, but not too expensive.
Summary: After having owned a Toshiba Satellite P200-IK8 I am disappointed with the build quality of this rebuild, model, especially as a new one was advertised at £800.00. This model, is made from cheaper materials, the screen/lid does not have a lock and there are less ports, than I am used to.
Summary: What a superb price for this laptop , well made and very up to date ... sadly we experienced issues with it needing to re-configure taking 20 minutes each time. As we could not cure it we returned it .. great shame as we had purchased associated products for it.
Excerpt: Halfway through last year, my Dell had finally reached the end of its useful life. I sought help from my University for problems affecting my course and discovered I was eligible for Disabled Students Allowance.
Pros: Very reliable and good quality machine
Cons: Nothing fancy, and Windows 8 not to everyone's taste !
Summary: I bought it for my 80 year old husband, who has been computer literate for several years. He is having terrible trouble with windows8, and would dearly like to go back to a simpler system where there are fewer hidden manouvers
Summary: the laptop came in lovely condition, boxed nicely, windows 8 installed nothing to complain about, it even came the next morning! the one problem i have is that the mouse does not work! i have even added a mouse through usb and it still does not work!
Summary: I am a bit disappointed with this laptop. Firstly the top panel that surrounds the keyboard is very thin and when you use the touch pad I get a clicking noise all the time where this panel hits the disk drive draw. Also when using the keyboard it moves up and down.
