WARNING!! Don't purchase a Toshiba laptop
Elwyn J. Richards "limey geezer", Amazon

Summary: I recently purchased this particular Toshiba laptop ( not from Amazon, I should add) and have had nothing but trouble with the piece of junk. On reading recent feedback on various forums, I found that there are many, many people out there who have had similar experiences with Toshiba. Windows 8 is also absolute rubbish. You don't have to take my word for all this, purchase a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8 and you'll see for yourself.
Slow, mousepad has a mind of its own, speakers faulty.

Summary: Brought this had it for a day and the speakers decided to stop working for no apparent reason. The mouse freezes for ages and sometimes I had to turn the laptop off by the power button as a result. It is so slow my old Toshiba which I needed this model to replace because it is so old and slow is faster. For the price good size and windows 8 is Ok once you get used to it.
Summary: Absolutely complete waste of money, I am returning the product. Mouse won't respond, and when it did the programs were so slow to respond. Also it jumped to different apps when I didn't want to go to them.
Summary: ordered this laptop as the price of £219 was very tempting... looks lovely from the outside but keyboard is very cheap press one key and the whole keyboard sinks! no good for watching films or you tube quality is pretty poor. Great for the kids but you certainly get what you pay for in this case!
Summary: At times it is unusable with no way of getting out of pages. Often the page changes on the screen without any attempt on my part to move. The lack of a start button is crazy. Difficult to be objective about the machine itself but it was Toshiba's own decision to load Windows 8. Unless 8.1 turns out to be much better (whenever it arrives) I will find a way to go back to Windows 7 My previous machine was a Toshiba and that experience lead me only to look at the same...
Summary: I`ve been trying to use this for over 2 months now. First of all the mouse pad is by far the worst I have ever come across. My last (Dell) laptop mouse pad wasn`t brilliant but this one is unusable. So you need a wireless mouse, unfortunately the 2 USB ports on the right are so close together that most things, like Mobile internet dongle, and mouse dongle block the neighbouring port.
