Summary: I bought this laptop at best buy for around $700. I've had it for about a year now and I love it. I use it to game on and its pretty decent, I'm eventually going to upgrade to a gaming desktop but for now this does alright. I can play Diablo 3 high settings with decent FPS. It plays arma 3 on low settings every now and then the game will crash the drivers.
Summary: This is the third Toshiba laptop that I've tried and I should have learned from the first two. All have had problems and this one has had to have the hard drive and Wi-Fi adapter replaced and still doesn't work right. Wi-Fi constantly disconnects from the router which is very aggravating when trying to do work on the internet or run updates. Bought a Lenovo all-in-one to replace it and that works great.
Summary: I've had plenty of headaches using this, but most were related to Windows 8 which has no place on a laptop or desktop. Some other problems had to do with the effort to get a dual-boot going. What prompted my review is that after a little over a year using this machine as a desktop, the battery was no longer charging. Toshiba support showed me no sympathy as I was past warranty, and the repair place I tried said I'd need to get the motherboard replaced at a cost of $350.
Summary: Got a refurbished Toshiba satellite of a slightly different model. Computer went to sleep automatically despite settings telling it not to go to sleep. After 3 months of sending it in for repairs (4X total), and sloppy repair jobs that ruined the keyboard Toshiba finally agreed to replace the laptop with a satellite P875-S7102. This computer worked fine for about a week, then the same problem appeared (going to sleep randomly).
Summary: Good laptop, extremely heavy. has good features, nice itched aluminum body and good looking design but there are better alternatives in the market. personally I like to have a 17 inch laptop like this on the sofa in the living room for guest use. but i tend to use the Sony Vaio Z3 everywhere with me as my personal, it is lighter in weight and has a 1080p screen with outstanding features.
Will add fifth star when I figure out how to use this thing.

Summary: I am a Mac user from way back. I used a Mac with no hard drive, just the 1.4 mg disks. Why? Because Apple appeals to my lack of engineering abilities. Macs are for lazy people who look forward to a world run by helpful, sexless robots. It is amazing so far, but the distance that remains between Apple and the PC world is less a real distinction of culture than' preventing customers from the ability to make choices as opposed to selections that are standardized and...
Summary: Got this laptop for around 500 new. Loving it, gobs of power, room to expand. If you want it to be ninja, get a SSD drive as the main and use the built in drive to hold your "stuff" I added 16 gb of ram, a 120gb SSD hdd, and a bluetooth dongle. Great machine, the screen is gorgeous and huge Cons: great huge screen. Very powerful backlit keyboard expansion room for 2nd hdd and another 24gb of ram good speakers Cons: Heavy... Like really heavy..
Summary: Outstanding. It works super quick, as long as your internet connection can handle it. As a work horse its there. There are no fancy things like touch screen and stupid stuff like that that drop your core to an Ie 5 core. HD video is nice, and Picture from U Tube is Outstanding.. Using it with my T.V. has worked well with a wifi device camping.
