Summary: This beast is really quick. Libre-Office used to take overnight to compile on my old machine - now it's done in around an hour. Massive amounts of RAM (16GB), two 1TB hard discs with an SSD cache, and a Core i7 Gen 4 processor contributes to this. The screen is crisp and clear and a decent resolution - whatever is next up from 1400x900 (the unit isn't to hand). The blue Ray player, WiFi and LAN (1GBE) work nicely. For maintenance, it's really well designed for a laptop.
Summary: My last computer - a Lenovo G570 - died suddenly, and I wasn't going to spend to revive it. After shopping around and reading reviews online I realised that I needed something fairly powerful, with a large screen with good video, music and graphics capabilities. Online reviews on the Toshiba Satellite P70-A-11R hardly exist at the time of posting this. Similar computers are described but not many match the identical specification of this machine.
Summary: I was going to get the asus gamer computer but settled on this Toshiba because I liked the screen better because it seems more clear to me. This is a very fast computer that can handle the newest games and the price is good for what you get. I think the aluminum finish looks very good and it is not a very heavy machine..
Summary: My first toshiba was a 15.6 inch and lasted five years so I wanted to get another one. This 17.3 inch is great. I will never go back to a smaller laptop again and this 1080 resolution screen is amazing clear. I like the way the lighted keyboard has three settings and it can be set to go off automatically. I have had it for a month now and still admire the workmanship and quality of this laptop. I like the way it has some weight to it and feels very solid.
Summary: The 1080 resolution screen is perfect on this laptop. Its the clearest led backlit screen I could find and the colours are really deep. I like the way the backlit keyboard goes off by itself after about ten seconds when not in use. There are three settings for the lighted keyboard I found by pressing the Fn key and then you press Z . You can turn off the lighted keyboard or have it stay on all the time.
Summary: the computer is more than good. win 8 system is easy to use( of course, have take a little while to remember its function). Just a little problem about the keyboard. It is easy to leave the fingerprint on it, have to clean it really often, beside that, everything is perfect. I am pretty happy about it. ^^ PS: if touchscreen, that is more than perfect with win 8.
Summary: Everything is great on this laptop. The build quality is strong and the lighted keyboard is excellent. I will never go back to a laptop that does not have a lighted keyboard. If this laptop had a SSD instead of a HDD it would be perfect but you can always purchase one. The 1080 17.3 inch screen is so easy on the eyes you can use it all day without getting any eye problems. It cost more money than most but you get what you pay for.
