Summary: Toshiba makes a really nice, lightweight, attractive laptop. Best PC I've ever had, so far. It's worked well. out of the box. Wanted to get Win 8.1 before they all come out with Win 10. My first ssd. It would be fun to watch it work, if there was anything to see. Pretty much instant everything.
Summary: If you want fast computing power, you will not be disappointed. By using a SSD (solid state drive) instead of a conventional hard drive, I saw a dramatic improvement. Files and programs pop up much more quickly. The 4K display is also as good as it gets.

Summary: I bought this Toshiba Satellite laptop about 5 months ago. I have used it extremely hard for video editing, etc. It has worked flawlessly. The graphics handle very high definition video easily. The sound is excellent and I really like the extra USB ports. I heartily recommend this laptop!

Summary: This is a really beautiful computer and functions at a very high level. My only caveat is that it is fairly new to me and acts as a secondary computer to my main PC, so I haven't had a chance to really push the boundaries. But so far I am very pleased with the purchase.
Summary: Love this laptop. As someone else noted it take longer to input one's password than boot up - the SSD hard drive is super fast. For numerical computing goes it is twice as fast as my last machine. The Windows 8.1 is just fine, pretty darn easy to figure out - in spite of all its bad press.
Summary: I bought this Toshba specifically to edit my GoPro Hero 4 Black videos. My two year old HP laptop (i5) just couldn't run the GroPro editing progam. It kept crashing when it was playing video, especially 4k video. Playing 1080p was very slow.
