Summary: I bought this laptop and liked everything about it but I didn't like the way I couldn't remove the battery or adjust the lighted keyboard to turn it off or keep it on constantly so I moved up to the p70 a 01q 17.3 inch Toshiba laptop and this machine is exactly what I was looking for with the two bays for hard drives. I could never go back to a 15.6 inch screen again after using this huge screen which is even clearer than the 15.6 inch screen.
Summary: I bought this toshiba laptop two days ago from future shop in Vancouver BC. Immediately on inserting a DVD, the laptop vibrates violently. I could feel the vibration even on the table. It was vibrating continuously when I watched the DVD. I called Future Shop and spoke to them. They said that this is normal for a Toshiba laptop. I have had a toshiba laptop earlier and this didn't happen. It's good otherwise, so I'm wondering what to do.
Toshiba Satellite P50t - A powerful machine, but has problems
26 January 2014
Excerpt: "This Toshiba is quite a powerful laptop and it has a really good battery life, but there are still some issues such as a dim display and really poor image quality. It uses a quad-core 2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4700MQ processor with a boost clock speed of 3.4GHz if it's not too hot. It has an epic 16GB memory which is probably more then you're ever going to need or use. It has a 2GB Nvidia GeForce 740M graphics processor. This processor together with that ...
Summary: On paper, this notebook brings a lot of bang for the buck. However, trying this out in the store, I have to say it looks and feels cheap. The keyboard feels too mushy, and has a lot of flex. The screen seems too dim and the colours don't 'pop'. I really tried to like this notebook, but I couldn't buy it.
Summary: I bought it yesterday and not happy with the keyboard design with red alphabets, it has English and another language that I don't know on the keyboard which I really don't like it. I don't recall if the display model had the same unknown language on the keyboard or not but all I know is I'd rather to have English only.
Summary: This laptop is one of the better buys, when looking at the higher end of the laptop market. Laptop is very fast. Haven't follow anything that does not run well on this pc. The laptop runs at bit warm due the i7 processor. Battery is about normal for running a high end processor.
Summary: Bought this laptop at the start of september, and the back-lit keyboard has stopped working. Sometimes after the computer has loaded from start up, the volume button does not work, and only works if you hold down the function key. The battery is also horrible.
Summary: I had this laptop for 2 weeks but finally i decided to give it back to future shop . POSITIVE points: it was incredibly powerful and fast , Very nice keyboard that you enjoy typing with that. LED Display has a very beautiful colors specially in Full HD videos and i think there is no need that i write about Speakers cause when you see the name of Harmon/Kardon ,there is no doubt that it comes always with decent quality. Negative points: BUT !
Summary: Battery life does not exceed 3 hours. Battery is also not removable. Everything else is well done. If you're looking for a powerful laptop that you don't need to bring to places w/ no access to power sockets, it's a high-ranking contender for good buy. Otherwise, you really should be looking for other options.
Summary: I bought this laptop because it told me it can last up to 5 hours on battery, great ram and harddrive space, best screen resolution etc. My mouse pad is so confusing to use and it frustrates me with scrolling, and by accident it'll zoom in on the page, it takes a while to get used to. The battery life is complete crap. As a student, I use my laptop on the go all the time, and can't always find a plug.
