Summary: Have had this one for 2 1/2 years now. Paid about 150 more for it then. ** A word of advice** Make sure to turn off the "hard drive movement protection" or whatever, feature. If not, your hard drive will crash and burn on this machine, so I have read, in maybe a 1 to 1 1/2 yrs. With the slightest movement, this (protection) feature jerks the HD into a "time out". The problem is, that after stopping/starting waaaay too often, it kills the thing!
Summary: Think about it. For $300 more you can get a lap top that doesn't run on any form of Microsoft Software. Windows 7 is garbage. Always updating your computer. You better turn off the automatic updates or your Toshiba will actually TURN ITSELF OFF WHILE YOU ARE USING IT (even though you told it to @#$% off with automatic updates). My Toshiba is a wheezy, old, 4 pack per day smoker, that makes SO MUCH NOISE IT'S EVEN RUBBISH TO RUN PANDORA...............
Excerpt: I just recently purchased a Toshiba laptop to replace my antiquated Dell. I was a bit hesitant at first to buy a Toshiba since I have not really used one in the past. However, I have been thoroughly pleased with my computer. It came preloaded with Windows 7, and it was super easy to load all of my software on as well and runs super fast. I love the size (14") of the screen and the overall size of the laptop.
Excerpt: After my cheap laptop died completely after 3 years (with major problems over 2 of those years), I decided to spend a little more on something that had everything I wanted. And the Toshiba M645 had it. It's fast, it's lightweight, and it's portable. All things that I wanted. I was concerned about the size of the keyboard, but found that it's just as easy to type on as a full-sized one.
Summary: I bought this Laptop for my brother and he loves it. Of course, it did come with an Xbox so he didn't really get it for gaming; however, that's all he does on it. Between Minecraft, Skyrim, and Fallout: New Vegas, that's all he does on his laptop. Mind you the graphics card can only run the game on Medium settings, he still claims that are better looking than they are on his Xbox.
Summary: This is replacing a six year old tablet that works, but.... I can not find a battery for it, the OS and memory was not keeping up with software demand for performance. I believe I got an incredible deal on price/features. I was somewhat miffed at what seemed the longest time to get a box out of the door and into my hands. Then realized that shipping was timed so this would arrive on Saturday when I was most likely to be home.
Summary: I've had this little guy for over a year now and it's been great. I'm a photographer and I use Lightroom and Photoshop quite a bit. A couple of months ago my desktop pc crashed and this guy has had to pick up my workload and it's really performed well considering it's not designed to be a big graphics pc. Plus I have it hooked up to my tv so I can watch movies from the blu-ray player.
Summary: Never get one Toshiba. Toshiba laptops have problems with their hard drives and other components. I had two laptops until now, they both crashed for no reasons. And I lost the data, and they haven't compensated me for the data recovery. Also they are overheating and I am extremely unsatisfied with their customer service.

Summary: I really do not have much to say other then this laptop is everything I dreamed it would be. I've had it for over 2 months now and could not be happier. Its a great portable powerhouse. Would recommend to anyone looking for a powerful smaller laptop!
