Decent computer

Rishal, Newegg
5 December 2013
  • Summary: I had no problem buying refurbished., On mine, there was a tiny coffee stain on the sound bar and the laptop won't close all the way. Nothing that would cause any hinderence to performance.
  • Pros: Great specs for the price.
  • Cons: Awful trac pad placement... you cannot type without accidentally hitting it.

Great

P. Kaufman, Amazon
28 June 2013
  • Summary: Perfect for the price I paid, but to say it's perfect in general would unfortunately be a lie. I'll start with the positives. The laptop is still running with virtually no damage aside from HDD issue that I'll get to later. I bought it last year in August for school, so it's impressive to see no real issue from then to now.

Disappointed with the TOSHIBA Web Camera Application

Charlie Rolstad, Amazon
7 November 2012
  • Summary: I upgraded to the Toshiba Satellite L855-S5240 from a HP Pavilion dv7-1264nr Entertainment Notebook PC to get Windows 7 with the option to upgrade to 8 for little cost. The quality of the video with the HP is superior compared to the Toshiba that I'm surprised there could be that much difference. I do want to qualify that was the only disappointment I had and my expectation were exceed in all other areas.

So far so good.

Christoph, Amazon
17 October 2012
  • Summary: The computer has met our needs, for daily home activities such as e-mail, MS office tasks, I have also used it to process pictures and that has worked well. USB3 connection is really nice. So far the only issue is that the SD card sticks out when it is in the reader and could get damaged if the computer is set down without using much care. However the real test comes with time, how will it hold up?

I'm happy with my new Toshiba

Glory Ann Kurtz, Amazon
16 October 2012
  • Summary: The Toshiba computer I ordered through Amazon was as advertised and I received it right on schedule. I would not hesitate to order another Toshiba - as I have owned four computers from another major computer company that have all died within 2 and 3 years of purchase. Hopefully this one will stand up.
