Summary: Processor - 5+ Display - 4 WiFi Connector - 3 Ports - 5 Keyboard - 3 (Well, sort of...) Touch Pad - 1 (Ugh!!!) Overall - 3 1/2 I have owned this computer for a year now. This was my very first personal Laptop, so naturally I was most excited. Siblings are geeks and know quite a bit about computers, so I had consulted them first on which one I should get.
Summary: I purchased this computer for my small business to be a computer to review emails late at night, take to customer sites, and to bidders conferences. As a computer it worked fine. Performance was good, screen quality was good and it never failed. I returned this computer because of Windows 8 and how Toshiba has implemented it. When you start up the computer for the first time it requires to get a Microsoft account with ID.
Summary: The construction of this laptop feels really cheap and squeaky. I've had a lot of other laptops and this is the worst in terms of construction. Feels like cheap plastic that's not glued together well. I've read that others say it's very fast. I haven't had that experience. Not sure why? It's supposed to have one of the fastest i7 processors? Really disappointed in the construction and the speed.
Summary: I bought this laptop from Micro Center at last January. Fast CPU, and enough ram. nice laptop for anyone even pc gammer. However, this laptop have serious key board problem. key board is not senstive. this problem is make a lot of mis type during the work.
Summary: Windows 8 is a real hassle to deal with... for people with no common sense, for kids, for housewives without any experience with computers. Google is bad, no freedom of choice in selecting software... everything should go around. Will delete everything related to Google and Microsoft, will be using competitors software!
Second Toshiba Laptop okay, after first one damaged -- but Amazon was not reliable!
B. McDonald, Amazon

Summary: I ordered a Toshiba Satellite laptop, and paid for overnight delivery. It showed up days later -- and no one contacted me from Amazon to say it would be late. Then, when it came, it was damaged. They wouldn't overnight it for Saturday delivery, and said it would show up on Monday. It didn't. You would think that when you already get a damaged item, Amazon would take care to ensure you're a happy customer. But, no such luck. I guess this happens when you get so big.
Summary: I bought this as a desktop-replacement for my wife for $460 Nov 2012. Not sure why the price is higher now. You can find a higher performing toshiba than this for $680. PROS: Quality and durable hardware. Textured D-Pad Moderate windows 7 performance CONS: Be prepared to uninstall 10+ preinstalled toshiba bloatware. Hassled constantly to purchase an antivirus program when Microsoft Security Essentials provides it for free.
Summary: So I've had the laptop for over a year now and the port where you plug in the charger is loose and the cord is constantly falling out! This is really annoying. You have to sit still or the cord will fall out and it has to be in there just right to charge. Other than that for daily use I've liked the laptop thus far. I mainly just use it for web browsing. But after having this laptop i'll go back to mac!
Summary: Even though the laptop's technical features are much improved over my last laptop it's the little things that have caused me to not be satisfied with this product: 1. When I experienced a technical problem with a keyboard function I was not able to locate either an Amazon or a Toshiba customer service point of contact to assist.
Summary: Pros: Decent Performance Beautiful screen Cons: Battey life Screen is much too reflective for outdoor use Sound Summary: I use this mostly use this as a replacement for my previous desktop which quit working on me. It offers comparable preformance to my last PC. It gets a 5.9 on the windows experience index (held back by hard disk write speed). The 6gb of ram is great for a mobile device.
