Summary: I have used Toshiba laptops for years, this one has great performance, reboot fast, no crashes. When we plugged the first time the headphones, the input jack was broken ( wasn't forced at all ), sound disappeared from the laptop speakers and, of course, it wasn't possible to plug the headphones. I have been on the phone for two days trying to get the warranty claim processed by Toshiba, still waiting.
Summary: I was looking for a computer to replace our desk top so as to be able to use it for daily work (and if we travel) -- no big graphics; simply everyday use. It is fine for everything I do. The only problem which I find consistently annoying is the placement and the size of the space bar.
Summary: My low rate for this product is due to having problem with using Russian language at different sites of Internet. I set up Russian as second language at my Toshiba notebook and can write in Russian in Microsoft Office. But I can not directly write in Russian, for example, mail in Hotmail or Google and so far. It is pretty inconvenient for me. I live in America but visit lots of Russian site and would like sometimes put comments or something like that.
Summary: over all the laptop is good but its claming to have a 2.3GHz processor and it only has a 1.4GHz processor i bought 2 of them for me and my wife on her account they were sent very fast and everything works great but not happy with the false advertisments..
Very disappointing sound quality through external speakers
22 September 2011
Summary: I ordered this laptop to replace my old one which died on me and while it is nice for the price, there is one major flaw, well for me anyways. The sound quality through external speakers is very poor compared to my old laptop. Being that the two main activities I use my computer for are surfing the web and listening to music, this is pretty disappointing for me.
