Perfect laptop for personal use

Adrian Arias, Amazon
16 January 2013
  • Summary: I bought this laptop and I have not problems with it. It is nice with a big screen and the RAM and hard disk are good. When you buy this for first time you may charge the battery for a long time, so do not panic if the battery icon does not move in a short time.

Poor Quality - Poorest Tech Support

EDC, Amazon
18 December 2012
  • Summary: Purchased a Toshiba Satellite L755. OK laptop but DVD drive never worked out of the box. Tech service provided little help after trying several toll-free numbers to get to someone who could understand the problem.

Enjoyable

Kirk E., Newegg
11 December 2012
  • Pros: Very nice laptop. It runs games pretty well. I can run Diablo II with no problems. It does what it needs to and has all the ports I need. Decent gaming and easy to use for daily email etc.
  • Cons: There are some things that come up on start up that can be annoying, such as eco utility. It's a nice thought and is easy to just go into start up and tell it not to pop up, but if you don't know much about computers it could become annoying. That was only one of the start up programs. Otherwise,...

Problems and more problems

Dejaland, Amazon
21 November 2012
  • Summary: What can you do when you can't even get the computer to turn off and when it does pretend to turn off it pops back on from its little nap with a black screen - I'm so frustrated with this thing. Definitely not worth the savings... Returning ASAP. Owned maybe 2-3 weeks

DOA

Hamayoun Khan, Amazon
16 October 2012
  • Summary: I think this is my first review, and my utter disappointment in this product has driven me to do it. I really don't recommend this, it was dead on arrival. The keyboard and mouse trackpad were not working at all.

Graet Bang 4 The Buck!!

Anonymous, Newegg
22 September 2012
  • Summary: For under $500 buck you cant go wrong. I'm a long term Toshiba owner and have 2 more in route.
  • Pros: A quad core with a dedicated video card for under $500.. Own a Survey/Engineering firm and have bought 4 of them to date. Kept one and gave the others to my guys for home and field use running Civil 3D. This set up ROCK!!! I did alot of research, and for the $ no one can touch this set up.
  • Cons: None.. Its properly me but the touch pad could be bigger.

Inexpensive Upgrade

Nicholas J., Newegg
2 September 2012
  • Summary: I also installed the G. Skill 8GB ram and that has not given me any issues either. I would recommend doing this upgrade for the 40 or so bucks.
  • Pros: There are many good things to say about this laptop. It is amazingly fast for the price (Yes it is a quadcore). I really like the keyboard layout with the number pad off to the right. Everything seems well built and put together with quality. The screen is great and doesn't give off a whole lot o...
  • Cons: A few issues have been bugging me over the past month or so. The touchpad is "multi-gesture" but it's too sensitive. I have adjusted the sensitivity settings, but it's still just a chore to operate. The dual graphic can be a pain. When I'm gaming my game will freeze, I'll return to windows, and t...

Screen cracked without being dropped

Matt, Amazon
21 August 2012
  • Summary: Do not buy Toshiba. Screen just all of a sudden cracked. Bought from Best Buy and they refused to even look at it because they said Toshiba was the only company that would not accept them sending it. Toshiba wanted to deal directly with the customer.

Amazing laptop

Jeff, Amazon
13 August 2012
  • Summary: I picked this out for my sister a few months ago when it was $400. And for $400-450 its definitely a very solid choice. (when getting to $500 you may be able to find A8 cpus, and possibly 2nd generation A8s) It exceeds all expectations, and was first chance testing out the AMD A-series and that too...
