Summary: I have always been a fan of AMD powered computers and this one is no exception, works great as an all round home laptop, shows movies with out any issues, I upgraded the memory to 8 gigs and it works great and never runs low on memory. The problem with this laptop though is that the rubber feet below the laptop are not secured properly and easily comes off. Be sure to notice when it drops off or you will have the feet missing after a while.
Summary: I bought this laptop and I have not problems with it. It is nice with a big screen and the RAM and hard disk are good. When you buy this for first time you may charge the battery for a long time, so do not panic if the battery icon does not move in a short time. I was sad when I saw that the computer was plugged in and the battery did not start to charge, give it a time.
Summary: Purchased a Toshiba Satellite L755. OK laptop but DVD drive never worked out of the box. Tech service provided little help after trying several toll-free numbers to get to someone who could understand the problem. I finally purchased a new DVD drive but the computer does not not recognize it even though its the same model as the one supplied by Toshiba! Go to HP for a decent product.
Summary: We purchased two of these for our children for homeschooling and they have been absolutely horrific. By the time we hit our one year mark, we were fed up and ready to replace them. They are a piece of junk. Best word...CHEAP! Lost keys (never an issue), random alerts for no reason, constantly updating itself by shutting down out of the blue (losing everything you have done). I tried everything to shut down those "helpful" updates but nothing would. It is junk.
Summary: Two out of three USB ports were not working. The seller wants us to return the laptop in the original box as they said otherwise Toshiba won't accept it. We recycled the original box as we did not think we would need it. So we called Toshiba sure that it's just a misunderstanding and they will happily take a malfunctioning product of theirs. Toshiba said it's your problem, deal with the seller you bought the product from.
