Review Toshiba Satellite L755D-14U Notebook

17 April 2012
  • Summary: Affordable all-rounder or classic blowhard? 4 processor cores, two graphics chips, 8 GB of RAM and a 640 GB hard disk memory - sounds like a lot of power at a low price for a notebook of the EUR 600 category. We tested to what extent the Satellite L755D can live up to this first impression extensively.
  • Pros: Fairly large hard disk, A lot of RAM, Good VGA signal quality, The unusual technology with 4 CPU cores and 2 graphics chips.
  • Cons: Contrast weak, viewing angle dependent and reflective screen, Overall weak CPU performance despite 4 cores, Fairly high power consumption, particularly in low load, No USB 3.0, eSATA or ExpressCard, Unpractical interface positioning, Dual graphics is frequently not used, Coiling keyboard, particularly in the number pad area, Sensitive surfaces, especially in the keyboard area, Better driver and software support for the dual GPU idea, a more rigid case, a better screen...

Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204 Review

13 November 2011
  • Conclusion: The Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204 looks sophisticated in its brushed aluminum skin, but underneath it’s not nearly as refined. After all it is a budget-friendly 15.6-inch laptop priced at $548. Its AMD A6-3400M processing performance is a bit disappointing and so is its weak battery life. Capable of only under 4 hours of unplugged operation, it’s not an ideal on-the-go laptop, but it could find a place as a desktop replacement.

Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204 Review

LAPTOP Magazine
29 August 2011
  • Summary: Notebook shoppers on a budget--and especially casual gamers--will find plenty to like in the $548 Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204. Its appealing design, comfortable keyboard, and roomy 640GB hard drive are pluses. And while the AMD quad-core processor isn't as fast as comparably priced Intel-powered machines, the AMD Radeon HD 6520G graphics provides above average performance.

Toshiba Satellite L755D-12L review

17 September 2011
  • Excerpt: Toshiba’s latest mid-range laptop might not look any different from the other machines in the manufacturer's current line-up, but it’s easily one of the most exciting. It’s the first laptop we've seen powered by a Llano Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) , the first from AMD capable of taking on Intel’s mighty second-generation Core processors. Judging by this laptop's performance, Llano looks set to shake up the budget laptop market.

Laptop Toshiba (L755D-SP5279LM)

4 June 2012

Test Toshiba Satellite L755D-14U Notebook

14 April 2012

Test: Toshiba Satellite L755D-12U (Notebook)

CHIP Online
28 December 2011
  • Pros: Leistungsstarke integrierte GPU, Relativ lange Laufzeit
  • Cons: CPU-Leistung geringer als Core-i-CPUs gleicher Klasse, Weicher Display-Deckel, Nachgebende Tastatur
