Summary: I've had this laptop for about a year. It's the second laptop i've ever owned. That being said, I always treat all my devices, especially my computer, with care. I've never once dropped or thrown this laptop, or carried it around without it being in it's protective case. I always make sure the keyboard/screen are clean, and I generally maintain it pretty well. As a computer, it runs fine if you maintain it.
Does the job - make sure you have some kind of warranty

Summary: I got this on a lightning deal right before Christmas. It's got plenty of memory and good speed and everything. Definitely does everything I wanted it to. However, the hard drive crashed 6 months after I got it, which was a total pain. Luckily, I store almost everything on some kind of cloud, so I didn't lose much. When it first crashed, I spent a long time on the phone with tech support. The support they give you without payment is pretty limited.

Summary: An okay laptop if you are on a tight budget, but you are really getting what you pay for. Have had far too many problems with this laptop for it to be worth the money I spent on it, even though it was relatively cheap.
Summary: I bought two of these computers and received them last week. I just finished loading them. I have not experienced any problems with the computers so far. The only issue i have is that they were supposed to come with at 640 gig hard drives. They didn't. They came with 580 gig hard drives.
Summary: The computer arrived with a hardware issue. The screen had purple and pink lines across it when the computer was turned on for the first time, and every other time I tried to reboot. Obviously, lack of quality control or unresolved design issues...redundant. I immediately returned the computer to Amazon, they were great and very prompt about getting a replacement to me. I'm holding my breath, and hope that the replacement doesn't develop issues in the future.
Summary: A month & a half old, my laptop stops working. After spending an hour trying to get someone to help me (the first two CSR's hung up on me), I find out Toshiba sent out an incorrect update via microsoft updater & that's what caused my laptop to shut down & not work & they will be happy to fix it for me if I pay for shipping to them. Insane.
Summary: I own this model since Nov 2011 the unit itself I have no problem, what I do have a problem with is the battery. If you read the specs from Toshiba it says battery life is UP TO 6.38 hours. Iam tired of companys lying to the public with false statements to sell there product. At a full charge the most I get out of my battery is 3 hours. After 10 min of non-use it drops down to 1 hour 55 min. If the battery gets 3 hours say 3 hours not 6.38 hours.
Summary: I bought this laptop in Oct of '11. I've been a fan of the Toshiba brand since my first laptop purchase(2007). I didn't know much about computers but knew the Toshiba brand name so I went based on that. That laptop gave me wonderful serice.In fact it's still in use just a bit weathered(read:still in wonderful working order I just felt the 'need' to buy a newer laptop). When the time came I didn't consider anything but another Toshiba.
