Summary: AMD A10-5750M rating at 6.7 Intel Core i5 3317U rating at 6.7 Intel Core i7 3537U rating at 7.1 If you want quality for Intel then you will lose the 17 inches screen, dts sound, dvd burner.... I strongly believe AMD A10 would not be dead slow at all. I got what a decent laptop should be.
Summary: Making the jump from Windows Vista (on a 5 year old Toshiba) to this brand new one has taken some getting used to. Windows 8 is a different ball game for sure, and it isn't as easy to use as previous versions. I am thinking once i send more time with it, it will seem convenient with all of the 'apps' on the main page. The control panel was difficult to find, and should have a desktop icon. As for the laptop itself, I dislike the mouse pad.
Summary: I bought an a10-5750M for my teenage daughter for xmas. It is a roaring machine. Of course you could get an infamous i7 4th gen and pay 2 to three times the amount but you will not get the value of this machine. I've been a tweaker for over 20 years, an avid gamer and I was and still am astounded by the deal I got with this machine. Its a huge deal. The video card is at par or better than the intel. Little known fact, AMD, merged with ATI.
Summary: Its okay. I do find it is heavy and rather bulky. Took some getting use to Windows 8. Had to download 8.1 before some things would run better. The mouse pad is not the easiest to manouver. Since it is a gift guess I'll keep it.
Summary: I got exactly what I asked for. Eevrything works well.... once you take the time to find it. Mouse pad is a typical mouse pad for laptops. Just buy a mouse. Find computer is a bit heavy... especially to carry any distance. My big beef is with having Windows 8. It's for a touch pad... not a manual screen. Therefore causes grief... even after downloading the Windows 8 correct which is for better use for non touch screens. Overall pretty dang good.
Summary: the trackpad is terrible. if I can't get use to it within the next couple days I might return it. other than that everything seems ok. the camera is low quality also. but it's very fast. windows 8 takes some getting used to but all the laptops have windows 8 now.
Summary: Sluggish performance, average screen, unresponsive trackpad, Built in audio software is awful and crippled the sound. PLUS the battery completely died after 4 weeks. Weird, because the salesman at Futureshop said it was great. Yeah right.
