Summary: I've had my Toshiba Satellite for years, and it was an okay computer. It's a bit slow, and after a year it became prone to freezing. I can't tell you how many times I've had to start the task manager and close frozen programs.
Summary: I purchased my laptop on 8/3/11. It was working great until day before yesterday. The screen went blank. Unable to restart, just a blank screen. I am told that I cannot exchange it or return it without the original box.
Summary: I bought this computer 6 months ago, and so far, so good. There are only 2 things that bother me: the first is that this computer ONLY HAS 2 USB PORTS! Come on! I know this is a laptop, but at home it is sitting on a cooler tray (USB) and I also use an optical mouse (USB) and then that's it!
Summary: Having gotten burned this year with two Dell laptops, both of which failed to work and needed "repair," I opted for a Toshiba Satellite (L670D). You'll need a full-function keyboard if you use a computer regularly. You will find that the tiny, flat keys are very difficult if you have large fingers.
