Hard drive crashed after less than 60 days! Crooks!

Summary: I bought this for my mom who was home recuperating from surgery. She had tons of time to use it right away and loves it! It really does look brand new! Addendum!!! Found out my mom had major problems with this right away but she was recovering from surgery and didn't want to complain about her gift.
Summary: Bad product sold it to me with a bad battery. When i called Toshiba to have the product replaced, they told me the laptop was NOT under warranty, even though i just purchased it. I can't believe Toshiba gets away with this.
Summary: First of all, when I purchased this laptop, I was so sure it will be Japanese a 100%, but it is MADE IN CHINA?????? Therefore NO wonder it is not functional as it should be, and the return time is only one month??
Summary: Barely a month of using the laptop, I noticed that for some strange reason, there are times when keys are pressed without me clicking on them. A few days later, some of the keys do not work anymore, until I am unable to login as one of the keys not working is part of my password.
Summary: Toshiba installed a video card driver with a known conflict that does not allow you to connect to the internet if the computer is not plugged in. They are aware of the problem but are not able to repair the error, in all cases. There tech support is in India and useless.
Summary: I purchased my Satellite 15 months ago and have loved it until two weeks ago when the 2 USB ports on the right-hand side came loose and fell inside. I took the computer to a repair shop and was told this is a common issue with Toshiba laptops due to the weld Toshiba uses for the ports; they couldn't...
Summary: After owning several problem-free Compaq and Dell laptops over the past 15 years, I made the mistake of buying my first Toshiba, a Satellite L675D. I admit that I was enthralled by the 17" display. Big mistake. HUGE MISTAKE.
