The L650 is a notebook that sports a 15.6’’ TruBrite® HD display with LED backlighting (16:9) and is powered by an Intel® Core i5/Intel® Core i3 or AMD processors. It runs Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and is supported by up to 4 GB DDR3 (1066 MHz) memory. The unit also has ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145 graphics card with 512MB VRAM (model dependent), two USB 2.0, one eSATA/ USB combo port, Multi-Card reader, HDMI WLAN (802.11 b/g/n), a 10-digit numeric keypad, Multi-Touch Pad, Toshiba Media Controller, Toshiba LifeSpace, VGA web camera with Toshiba Face Recognition and DVD Super Multi optical drive.

Features

The Toshiba Satellite L650 also features dedicated multimedia controls above the keyboard that provide users with access to Toshiba’s Media Controller application. This application allows users to access content on Windows 7 Certified DNLA devices, including a selection of Toshiba’s REGZA LCD TVs. The notebook is also pre-installed with Toshiba Media Controller Plug-In for Internet Explorer, allowing users to stream Flash videos from YouTube™ directly to DLNA®-compatible television sets. Other features on the notebook include Intel® Wireless Display technology that lets users wirelessly stream videos and music from the laptop to a wireless display-enabled TV set, using a Wi-Fi connection; a 640GB HDD, LifeSpace which is an intuitive application designed to help users manage, find and save their documents; ‘Bulletin Board’ which allows users to create a virtual pin-board for accessing favorite files, post it notes, reminders and links and ‘ReelTime’ which accelerates file searching by automatically adding shortcuts to a visual timeline of recently used documents or folders. The unit also features USB Sleep-and-Music a feature that enables users to play music from a connected MP3 player through the laptop’s integrated Harman Kardon speakers when the laptop is in Sleep or Stand By mode; Dolby Advanced Audio technology which boost audio projection and restores high frequencies that are usually lost due to MP3 compression or the physical limitations of a laptop.
