Summary: I know Toshiba to be the leader in laptops since they were in on the game in the very beginning. This laptop, especially for the money, is more than adequate. Speed, Display, Response, it has it all, in spades!
Summary: After three-plus months of day-to-day use, my "Silver Sheeba" is proving to be a reliable partner with a healthy work ethic. If you need a hassle-free laptop for shool, office or home use, the L455D is worth looking into. With 2 gigs and a single core, gamers and streamers may want to look elsewhere. But the unit works at a brisk pace and allows for moderate multi-tasking. Windows 7 scores points in my book for user-freindliness and consistency.
Summary: Worked like a dream the first day... but four days into owning THE FIRST one it refused to turn on and completely shut down. I traded it in for the same model hoping it was just a bad pc... turns out a few months loter that is is just as big of a piece of garbage. Once again the computer black screened on me and takes 30 minutes to turn on and when it does nothing works. Single worst piece of technology you will EVER own.
Summary: So far so good, I like the usb ports and power connections are on the sides, nothing plugs into the back. Only negative I have so far is the space bar/mouse buttons are a little stiff. Takes more pressure than I would like. Had the laptop about 3 weeks.
Summary: Excellent product for the money. No problems, no lock ups, no disappointments. Not super fancy, but not super expensive either. Have had many higher priced computers crash & burn long before ever got to use all that great memory and speed, etc. Highly recommend for daily use. We now own two of these, identical.
Summary: I needed an affordable laptop to use at home for internet and word processing. I also wanted a bigger screen (as that's what I have at work), which can translate into a higher price tag. This 15.6 inch screen is very nice and sharp with clear and bright colors. I've used this laptop only a few times since my purchase, but it was very easy to set up and get running, include connecting to my wireless router.
