Summary: I bought this computer about 4 and a half years ago from Best Buy for around $320. I have been very happy with it. It has been a workhorse - I use it a lot! I use it for a lot more than the basics including graphics and some web design work. I used a Toshiba laptop at work and liked it so decided to purchase this when I heard of the Best Buy Sale. I think Toshiba produces high quality products. Pros: I think their design is really nice.
Summary: Very good economical laptop for students. not the best sound quality, battery life (+-2hrs) or adapters in the world but can surely handle any operation as with high end performance laptops priced in the 800-1000 range. Build quality is decent. It's very easy to carry around due to its light weight. In all very please with the PERFORMANCE.
Summary: I expected a camera which was not included in this model, the quality of the screen colors is not very sharp as well as the letters when you write any thing even if its with capital letters, the colors on every image are definitely not as sharp as my first laptop which it was a Toshiba as well !!!!
Summary: I bought this Toshiba laptop, as is for parts or repair. This was bought to repair two computers of the same type, to make one good laptop. As it turned out, the problem that it had was a cold solder joint in the power plug, and was fixed by simply heating the cold joint with my soldering tool. This is why buying these types of products can be very good.
Summary: I admit I have not been the most careful with this laptop, and I need to carry it around a lot, which I do not recommend if you need a highly mobile laptop. It is very easily damaged. Right now there are scuffs all over the laptop because it shows very easily. There is litereally a square of white marks where the screen hits the keyboard when it closes and there is a giant white spot on the touchpad just from clicking with it.
Summary: I currently own this laptop and had it since November 2009. I purchased this laptop because my previous Dell computer broke. At time time I was attending a community college and needed a nice inexpensive computer. This laptop is a lil older than other laptops, but overall it's a solid machine. You get what you pay for with this laptop. This machine is great for web browsing, certain games, listening to music, play DVDs, typing papers, and storing files.

Excerpt: i have had this laptop for just over two yaers and am still very pleased with it. it has tons of features when you go for the option of windows home premium software and has the option to up grade to 4gbs at only $90 - $120. i plan on purchasing this upgrade but not because i think the computer is lacking but because i like it so much i'd like to stick with it for a while so i want it to stay fast and not be obsolite in a few years.
