Summary: I bought another Toshiba whose motherboard decided to blow in the middle of a semester. This laptop has an issue with the keyboard. The keys stick around the letter "L". Its probably an individual laptop malfunction but I think I will try a different manufacturer next time.
Great price on eBay for product-Keyboard makes it hard to type fast
10 December 2013
Summary: It works fine, comes with Microsoft office 10 which I needed after I had to send off my PC, laptop & mac to get cleaned due to network issue so it was great in a pinch. They keyboard is not like my Satellites past since I go fast so to me this is the biggest downfall as it seems to miss keys if you go to fast. It's fine the price was great on eBay from a good seller and it is a good back up to have. Recommend as back up or for printing.
Summary: The hard drive failed in this in less than 4 months - completely unacceptable for a brand new computer. I should start out by saying I am a computer programmer and know my way around a computer. Windows 8 wasn't a problem - sure it was an adjustment as I hadn't used it but I adjusted. The computer itself is another story. After the hard drive failed I did some research and discovered this is a very common issue with this particular computer.
Summary: Another Toshiba great product. Just as expected. Well made item. This is my third one Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Me, the fiance and kid, we all have a different model. Mine is 5 years old and still going. I most certainly recommend, buy any Toshiba computer with confidence. You will not be disappointed.
This Is A Great Laptop And Windows 8 Makes It Sweeter
Godswill Ohazuruike, Amazon
8 August 2013
Summary: I got this laptop on 21st July even though i was a bit skeptical due to reviews i read about windows 8 but when i received the laptop i feel in love with the design and the large screen was an advantage to me and is one if the reasons i bought the laptop, The speed is okay and very fast. I would recommend this laptop to my friends and everyone who wants to purchase it.
Summary: I wrote a one-star review the other day based on Wiseup shipping me a computer that was logged in to another user. I bought a Windows 8 disk- which wiped the other user and Wiseup offered to pay for that disk. Though this was a bit of a hassle- I do appreciate that they stood by correcting their mistake. Very happy with the computer now that I can use it!
Summary: I've had this lap top for about 4 months now. At first I hated it because of Windows 8 but once i figured it out I decided I could live with it although I still hate it. So, here I am 4 months later and I have a lap top that is getting slower by the day! Internet explorer is so slow that I feel like I'm 13 again and using dial up to surf the web! The computer is slow in everything it does, from research I've done that seems to be a pretty common thing with windows 8.
Summary: I loved the ratings that others gave this computer and purchased it to use for school. It didn't take me long to figure out how to use windows 8. It's not that difficult once you play with it for a while. I was very upset at the fact that my very nice printer that I have taken excellent care of no longer can be used with new operating system because it isn't supported. Shame on you Microsoft. I couldn't even find an up to date driver for the printer.
Summary: I shouldda stayed with System 7 but at least I didn't get touch-screen System 8. So here I am, tip-toeing on the edge of the cliff. The software guys at MS and I are seriously at odds about what is intuitive to a former user of their software (Vista-a piece of drek and System 7-much better but twitchy) and what is really a cool 'trick'. Just the weird Start process is a bridge too far. Sorry to be such a wimp. Have no quarrels with Toshiba so far.
