Summary: I bought this in December 2012 as a Christmas present. It worked well for a year but completely failed one year later, a week after it's guarantee ran out. Message "unable to find boot device". I suggest that anyone that is foolish enough like me to buy a Toshiba notebook, pays for a three year extra guarantee.
Summary: The cursor disappeared, and Toshiba telephone support, though obviously very capable, failed to fix. It was therefore unusable. Should I blame Toshiba, Windows 8, or some soft or hardware provider unknown? I still don't know, and can't decide what to do instead. I do know that the service from Amazon was superb. Refund with no nonsense. Thanks.
Summary: I hate windows 8. Wish I had not bothered. Is there any way I can revert back to Windows 7 as on my old laptop? Can't even access solitaire without annoying pop-up adverts appearing and urging me to purchase the full game without adverts.
Summary: I expect things to work for more than two hours before they start to break down, but Toshiba don't seem to share this same ethic. Well two hours is all the touch pad lasted before it stopped working completely. Very dissappointed and it has been returned for a refund. Will think twice before buying Toshiba again.
