Summary: The Toshiba Satellite laptop and have a month with her and works well in general terms, it works perfectly with windows 8.1, however, what I did not like was the sound is very poor quality. When you buy this laptop said it was refurbished and the detail with which they were to get some stripes is the screen which will not harm but would be great if they had this detail.
Summary: This item is a bit disappointing. It is quite slow, although I found good reviews for it on the web before buying it. I must say that my older ACER is a better performing machine - running Windows Vista.
Summary: i have this computer for about 6 months now it seems to be a little bit on the slow side for the amount of money your are paying for when you could build a computer 5 times better for the same price which i am currently doing right now. i had to replace the screen on this as well as the charger. one day i opened the laptop and the screen was rainbow colored and the charger just stopped working after 3 months.
Summary: I got this as a cheap travel laptop. It also was my first venture into Windows 8. If I had it to do over again, I would have opted for a laptop with a faster processor (it's a bit of a dog). This is after optimizing for performance to remove all of the sexy screen transition animations. As others have noted, the rough-surface touch pad is not very responsive, and can be frustrating, so I use a mouse. (I've also decided, after months of use, that I hate Windows 8.
Excerpt: Tried Windows 8 hated it. Tried to downgrade to windows 7 it took about 3 days to find all the drivers and settings. Suggest if you plan on win 7 surf the internet for instructions on how to set up the bios and get all needed drivers before you start, as two of the drivers that you need to download are the lan driver and the wireless driver. What a pain but I finally got it to work.
Excerpt: Computer it self is compact .works well .windows 8 I don't like partly because when it was picked up at staples they don't take the time to show you how it works .so for that I give them a poor rate king on customerservice t
Cons: Difficult To Use, Hard To Set Up, Windows8 Not User Freindly
I like it however not use to the new windows eight

Summary: I really like this computer except for windows 8 every time you do something it changes screen when you use the mouse pad, also the sound is very low and I mean really low quality. I do not like how you have to buy everything to put on a computer now days, they give you a week trial or a month free trial some apps have a 60-90 day free trial. I am referring to the larger programs such as word and spreadsheet.
Excerpt: The laptop itself feels good. It had a nice weight to it, nice screen, sensitive keys. I dislike the feel of the pointer and the fact that it's too sensitive. As I scroll through the websites, if I lightly touch the pad, the pointer will jump all over the place and switch between screens. You will need a mouse for this laptop if you want to keep your sanity. Windows 8 is HORRIBLE. It's extremely frustrating and has many useless functions.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Low Power Consumption, Quality Construction
