Summary: My first laptop was a Toshiba Satellite, and after several other brands, back to it. Relied on a consumer report for best trade-off of capabilities and price. It's noticeably heavier than last few laptops, but I use it in place, so not an issue for me. I like the its "touch"; took almost no adjusting to keyboard, on which the keys are perfectly flat. The case seems on the keyboard side of machine seems pretty thin ...
Summary: I bought this for a coworker. He likes it and has not complained about it so far. I suppose it met his requirements. It isn't something I would buy for myself but on his recommendation I'm giving it four stars.
Summary: Other than for the windows 8 to get used to, this computer runs great! It can play games pretty well, for me the sims 3 series. I really like it. It also showed up a week early and packaged very nicely.
Summary: It was a positive experience.iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Summary: $229 at BEST BUY. So, that's over a $100 cheaper. I have a Toshiba Satellite. It runs pretty good, though the sound quality is not as great as I would like. Had very few problems until I dropped it. That's not the computer's fault. Would buy again.
Summary: This laptop works great for what it is. It's not designed for lots of fancy graphics editing or video editing or amazing game play it designed to do all of a computers basic functions efficiently. ( type, Internet , music, videos etc.). I would recommend and USB external drive with this unit to keep the interal hard drive free of clutter because after you put about 250gigs on unit it becomes VERY slow. But it you use and external drive it functions perfectly.
