Summary: I purchased this laptop strictly for the purposes of going back to school and have regretted it ever since. I'm not going to get into all the details but I will say that the processor leaves a lot to be desired and the keyboard is not my favorite. I will be happy the day this thing finally dies and I can justify the expense of purchasing a new laptop to replace it. Do yourself a favor and purchase a better machine.
The machine is fine. A bit slow but adequate for internet

Summary: The machine is fine. A bit slow but adequate for internet, email and word processing. The case, however is dreadful. It has plastic hinges. and they crack! I'm writing this review on it and I cannot close the machine up. It is stuck open because of the broken hinges that caused the case to flex and crack.
Summary: This Toshiba did NOT meet my expectations. I bought a Toshiba laptop for business two years a ago which was in a metal case, had tremendous speakers and one could easily remove the battery. The battery would Not recharge and supposedly was removable, but I did Not want to break the battery cover in order to remove it. That is hazard of buying online from someone you NOT know without physically seeing the product and using it for several days.
Summary: Toshiba low-end laptops are pure garbage. Flimsy, cheap, unreliable, and built with the cheapest components available. Save your money and spend a bit more on something else not built by Toshiba. Best case scenario, you might get 6-12 months out of your laptop before things start to fail. Worse case scenario (as I've just experienced), your laptop will last a matter of weeks before the lights go out.
Summary: SPEED / PROCESSING It's slow. I can't describe how slow it is. The fan is poorly placed. It runs hotter than most laptops I've used. NOT SO SPECIAL FEATURES The mousepad is a textured grid which is great for collecting salt, sand dust, etc. This is not only a feature that I never wanted but it's a feature that no one wants. The only way I could imagine a poorer design of a mousepad would involve rusty, gangrene inducing razor blade grid. SOUND QUALITY..
Summary: The first thing we noticed is that the overall quality of the laptop is cheap. This is not a well constructed, high-end product but for the price we paid we expected it. Its not as fast as we would have liked but since we were not using it for work that was also something we got past. We had the laptop for about 11 months (it was never dropped or spilled on) when the screen started to have lines and black areas at the top.
Summary: I bought this computer for my son for Christmas so he could play videogames. Unfortunately, he can't use it because it's too slow to play most of the games he wants to play. I don't know why this computer is advertised as a gaming-class computer. It's not.
Summary: This is absolutely the worst computer I have ever owned and I am sorry I wasted my money. I have owned this for roughly a year and the case of the computer is already falling apart. I have owned Toshiba computers in the past and they were built well with a tough case that lasted. This case is flimsy and built with very thin plastic that breaks easily. To add to this poor construction the windows operating system is terrible. very difficult to use.
Summary: Purchased this laptop for my son to use while away at college. The mouse pad on the lap top stopped working within the first month that he had the laptop. Now the laptop cannot be charged. I contacted the seller and they pretty much belittled me and my attempt to get a replacement. DO NOT purchase anything from this seller, unless you want to be treated with total disdain.
