Summary: Is not a great notebook but is not bad either. Keyboard feels strange, you have to hit kinda hard the keys to make them work. CPU is fine, but his integrated GPU sucks badly, is not even good for light games.
Summary: The jury is still out on this computer. I loved my Dell but went with this one as a replacement when my ten year old laptop died. The main reason was economical although the reviews on the Toshiba were also an influence.
Summary: Everything is great except the speaker system. Sounds tinny and have been unable to find correct setting to make it sound more like stereo. My Kindle has better sound than this computer. I just plug in an external speaker to listen to anything.
I almost felt channeled into screens I did not like, such as the Toshiba websites

Summary: I found Windows eight not to be user friendly program. I almost felt channeled into screens I did not like, such as the Toshiba websites. I found myself enjoying the large screen and the bright color. For which I give this computer a three star rating.
Summary: Decent laptop, I bought for use in my business where I need to sit in front of my computer but when I have meetings I can just flip the lid down. The size is great, especially screen size. It can be very slow, especially in MS Office 2013 programs.
Updated fix. How?(Dangerous shutdown procedure when you close the lid)

Summary: As this is an updated review-this problem has since disappeared. Not encountered again. Not knowing for sure, I think this happened in an update from Toshiba. One of the things I left on is update from/through Toshiba.
