Summary: Purchased our first Toshiba on this sale strictly looking for a new laptop with Windows 7 still available. This laptop has a beautiful display and we've had no problems whatsoever with the hardware or software during the 6 weeks since we bought it. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is a lack of some small conveniences that we are used to in our older HP laptops, such as a HDD activity light and small buttons to quickly turn off the Wi-Fi connection, and the track...
Summary: Ive had this computer for a little over a year now and it has treated me well for most of the time. Considering that I do school online and use it for entertainment purposes daily, I have to give it credit for taking all the abuse. The cheapness became apparent after a couple months of use. The hinges that fold the the computer have become loose and flop around like Britney Spear's private parts. Also the speakers produce next to no sound.
Summary: As with every other computer I've bought, this one came pre-loaded with all sorts of trial software and other junk most people would never need. You'll probably want to wipe everything and install your own operating system. This computer doesn't come with installation disks, though users have the option of creating their own backup DVDs.
Summary: For the cost, this laptop is great for a non-high-tech user. It's comparatively slow unless you set the energy profile to high performance (which means that the battery drains quickly when you're not plugged in). Besides that, it's great for someone who's not a high-end gamer or looking for upper-end graphics & whatnot when watching movies on a laptop. This was a gift for someone who'll mainly use it for e-mail, Facebook, and shopping-type activities.
