Summary: I bought 2 toshiba laptops last year both of them totally crapped out shortly after warrentee expired id send them to toshiba but to fix a "minor problem" the want something like 250 dollars. i wonder what a new mother board cost.
Summary: I bought this item for my wife, although it dose not have the best specs. on the market it is just what she need something just to do some light web surfing ect. However this is the Toshiba laptop that i've regretted buying. The keyboard failed after the first couple of weeks of use. Seeing that I bought it a few weeks before actually using it, because I bought it as a surprise, I cannot return it to the sender.
Summary: Purchased this Toshiba at Christmas time. In three months the left hinge went bad, in 6 months the right hinge broke, which by the way, broke the led screen. Toshiba would not stand behind this even though it is still under warranty. We fixed that part ourselves now into the 8th month the motherboard has gone out. CRAZY HUH? We have sent it back again, lets see what excuse Toshiba has for not fixing it this time. I am a previous Toshiba user and have always loved them.
Summary: Hello I generally do not write reviews. However this particular product and the whole experience with Toshiba customer service has forced me to voice my concern. I bought this laptop since it was cheap and loaded with many features. I had other options at the same price but i went with Toshiba because of company's reputation. OK here is my experience; I bought the laptop and brought it home. After 2-3 days it started giving me blue screen error(some hardware issue).
Summary: I PURCHASE this Toshiba Lap Top 4 months ago and I am having problem with it already. The screen has a red light in it and the battery is not charging above 16%. This computer was supposedly a new computer, I have my hp 6 years now and I am not having battery problem. This is the worst purchase ever.
Summary: I will never purchase another Toshiba product. I initially liked this Toshiba Satellite -- it's nicely styled, light and had a decent display. However, the display started to fail in places after 4 months. Toshiba refused to back the product and wanted more to repair it than the original purchase price. If you're willing to risk having a throw-away laptop, go ahead and buy a Toshiba.
Summary: I bought a Toshiba laptop and after two months the flimsy design of the lcd caused it to crack when I opened it up. I could hear it crack and the screen went black. Anyhow toshiba says not their problem and wont cover it but said for $320 they would fix it. Really? I bought the laptop for $349 so thats like replacing a broken windshield on a car for $15,000. I refered them to multiple forums where people had the same issue with the lcd. They don't care.
Summary: I purchased the Toshiba Satellite laptop in November for my daughter's Christmas present. One month into owning the laptop, the screen stopped working. There was no damage to the screen, it just stopped working. We purchased the identical unit for our other daughter - that one, the hard drive failed. Lousy product - do not buy. Toshiba is not cooperating on repair for screen problem claiming we damaged it. Not true - lousy products, lousy service.
Summary: Completely disappointed with the computer and more disappointed with the service provided by your Toshiba Direct Service center. The Computer broke in less than two weeks and was sent to your service center, It's been 10 days and after I email to find out the status I was told that the computer was not covered under any warranty and that it will cost me around 325.00 for the repair. That it was better for me to take the computer to a local Mom and Pop shop for repairs.
