Summary: I am rough on a laptop, using them outside mostly. This Toshiba has done everything I have asked it. I even dropped it once. It is quick with a clear large screen and ample keyboard. I replaced a Best Buy Lenovo which had fried after three days of outdoor use. This is a Windows 7 machine, so you don't have to put up with the oddities of Windows 8. I use it to take data from six scientific instruments which it has done flawlessly over many days of use.

Summary: I have owned this laptop now for 5 years. I just recently had to repair the hinges on it. but it was a very simple task. The laptop is very easy to disassemble. There's many YouTube videos on how to do so. All you have to do is epoxy the hinges to the body of the computer, but I went a step further and drilled two holes through where the hinges mount to the computer base. installed a bolt in each hinge. and now the laptop is as good as new.
Summary: My first new laptop and I'm still using it to this day. I have taken this with me to many places and for many different purposes and it has served me well in university and for work. Pro: Price, value Wide, clean, and vivid screen. Fast enough for me to do school work, watch youtube videos, use photoshop, and surf the net. I never tried playing games. Good battery Con: The touch pad takes getting used to. It's not the most precise or finger friendly.
