Summary: Okay Cons first: 1 - Battery doesn't charge sometimes, and you have to eject it and reinsert it, and this is an on and off issue since about 3 years in. 2 - the memory on this computer is not good for heavy flash use (Youtube vids, HD vids), playing one at a time is okay but if you want to play...
Summary: I have had mine for two years. The battery isn't charging as well (that's to be expected of all laptops). The internal AC adapter broke though, but that's partially because I dropped the laptop on the AC adapter side and it bent. I replaced it for a simple ten bucks.

Summary: Broken hinges ALMOST ruined my experience with this laptop completely. I opened the laptop up and discovered that hinges are made out of plastic! So they're bound to break eventually at some point. The fix is not cheap either. The whole base of the laptop has to be replaced!

Summary: I received the laptop as a gift 3 years ago and it has done everything I want it to ... mostly. I haven't had a single functionality/repair issue. I'm use this as my main computer. The battery still holds a decent charge (@ 6 hours). Easily connects to and stays connected to wifi.
Summary: I bought my Toshiba Satellite C655-S5212 laptop August 25. 2011 at Best Buy, so it's almost 3 years old, now. But it's been a good computer, especially for the low price of $380. RAM was cheap in 2011, so I maxed-out the RAM to 8 GB when I bought it, and the total (computer $380 + RAM $36) was just...
Summary: I've had this laptop since 2010 with the intent for use in college. But throughout the years of transferring schools and staying up late to study or do homework, this laptop has both meant a lot to me but has also been a curse.
