Summary: I bought this laptop for college so my spouse and I don't have to fight over using the desk PC when we have to do our school work. I was under the impression that the laptop would start-up on the fast side and load programs even faster. I was disappointed to see that everything seems to load on the sluggish side. Since this will not be my main computer it should be OK.
Summary: A lower/mid-range laptop that performs decently, without excessive "bloatware" but did have interesting and useful Toshiba software pre-installed. Sharp display; touchpad is a bit quirky in responding to gestures and, being off-center, may be a little uncomfortable for left-handed users. Recommended for beginner -to- intermediate users.
Summary: Bought this for my mom. She didn't need a fast computer or one with a large amount of storage space. Just something to go on FB and web surf. It serves its purpose, but this is too slow for my liking.
Summary: It's a good laptop, nothing great but average for surf the web, read documents and download music or files. Not good to play or do multitasking work because it's very slow and the ram doesn't help. The quality of the laptop are good, but the materials looks like cheaper plastic, I think that ASUS provides a better laptops for a low or similar price, but if you like toshiba and don't wanna spend to much money this laptop it's for you.
Summary: This laptop is excellent for just web browsing and watching movies via online or dvds. Horrible for gaming, I've installed need for speed hot pursuit on it and even with the graphics dropped to its lowest setting the game still runs slow and sticks at times. While browsing with too many tabs open (about 6 tabs) the screen freezes, this is deplorable for a dual core, 3gb ram laptop. My old single core, 1gb ram laptop ran better than this...
