Summary: I bought this laptop March 2012 for personal/home use. I loved this laptop, especially loved having the numeric keypad on the side. 6 months later it crashed. Unfortunately I did not purchase extra coverage but luckily it was still covered under the 1yr warranty. I was able to send it in to Toshiba for repairs & have it returned to me faster than expected. (the customer service by the way was awesome.
Summary: I bought this laptop for college so my spouse and I don't have to fight over using the desk PC when we have to do our school work. I was under the impression that the laptop would start-up on the fast side and load programs even faster. I was disappointed to see that everything seems to load on the sluggish side. Since this will not be my main computer it should be OK.
Summary: A lower/mid-range laptop that performs decently, without excessive "bloatware" but did have interesting and useful Toshiba software pre-installed. Sharp display; touchpad is a bit quirky in responding to gestures and, being off-center, may be a little uncomfortable for left-handed users. Recommended for beginner -to- intermediate users.
Summary: Bought this for my mom. She didn't need a fast computer or one with a large amount of storage space. Just something to go on FB and web surf. It serves its purpose, but this is too slow for my liking.
Summary: Computer runs fine easy to set up out of the box....but it has a cheap flimsy case not near as sturdy as my last Toshiba which lasted 6 years till the motherboard shorted out. Computer is only 6 months old and screen hinge pops when you open it , will probably break any-day now.
