Excerpt: Laptop works fine and boots up reasonably fast. Adapting to Win 8.1 will take some time. I don't hate it but it is not as easy as Win7 to find what you need. System comes pre-loaded with a lot of bloatware. Many apps want you to have a Microsoft account. Keyboard is OK. It is easy to press the wrong key if not careful since the keys are very flat and bit larger than most keyboards. If you are a serious writer, you need to try the keyboard against other available laptops.
Excerpt: I Bought this PC for personal and business use. So far it has worked great, with the exception of the Antivirus software trials that come on it. I had it a week with the Norton trial turned on but still managed to get over a thousand viruses, and I do not download anything illegally or sketchy. I would suggest buying a real antivirus or great freeware before any online use. The tech support at Staples was amazing and really helped me fix the problem.
Pros: Bright, Good Value, Price, Professional Weight, Sharp Tones & Colors
Excerpt: Purchased the laptop as it was on sale with and added coupon. Did not expect much but it was still better than my 3.5 year laptop. I felt the laptop was fast for an i3. I even compared it to the i5 i7 and it was not much different in terms benchmark tests. ofcourse, the high end processors were better overall but at a price that may not justify the costs. For the price its a bargain.
