Summary: This seems so far to be a very good machine, even without a touch screen. My USB mouse works just fine with it. I wish is could say the same for Windows 8. This version of Windows is supposed to be more automatic but I'm finding that it isn't automatic at all, leaving me spending a lot of time trying to find where they've hidden ways to do things for myself! I've been on Windows since 3.1 in 1988 and find this to be the worst ever!!!!!
Summary: I had to order a new battery from Toshiba which temporarily cost 100.00, but since it was under warranty, you just have to mail back the bad battery it came with(which is why I think I got it for 314.00) and they will refund your money. The new battery got here the next day so it wasn't much of a hassle since they send you a prepaid shipping label but for $314.00 and a little problem I cant complain. Its a nice laptop for the price I would definitely recommend this.
Summary: I'll break down the laptop in categories and then give an overall review near the bottom. Perfromance: The i3 processor handles hd videos just fine. You can stream 2-3 at a time. If you aren't familiar with computer the i3 is the base processor I would recommend starting at. You can use this laptop for light gaming. Depends on the game and what the requirements are but it will play them on their lowest settings. The 4gb of ram is average.
Summary: Let me just say, when I ordered this Laptop I was pretty sure I'd be recording my suicide letter on it's extremely well functioning webcam mounted on the screen. Considering my ex and I had just broken up, I was sure that spending a whopping 273$ was a steal I couldn't afford to miss out on before offing myself.
Summary: Good product, and better for the price. Jus one think I hate: windows 8! if you can live with this or you are going to remuve it is perfect, at least for the use I do, office, statistics, movies and surfing.
Summary: Good choice for a budget laptop at under $230 w/ BB bundle. Decent for the price. Celeron chip is Ivy Bridge, low-ish power consumption.. (though get a Haswell if you really want battery life) Very quiet.. stays cool. I like that the keyboard has large keys... I mistype less on full size keys than island style chiclet keys. Keyboard is okay... if you press down lightly, the keys might not register though.... not as tactile as it should be but not horrible.
