Check the bios password setups first, before turning off your computer, or they'll get you too!

Summary: I bought this notebook at the end of October. Turned it off one day, and about a week later, when I turn it on, I got a screen asking for a bios password. I've never set a bios password. I called Toshiba support & told them the problem with the bios password. They had me try a few things while I was on the phone with them but nothing worked. They told me I would have to send it to their repair depot.
Summary: Not really worth the money. I am not sure what has happened to Toshiba as they have mad some good products in the past, but the satellite series that they have out now is not very good, as they are using low grad processors that cannot power the machines that they are in efficiently. It is a "cheap" laptop both in price and in performance, so i guess you get what you pay for.
Terrible battery life, will not charge Toshiba no help.

Summary: The battery does not charge past 70% and will only last 2 hours max. It waited until Amazon's 30 day return policy expired and then..BAM!! DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY TOSHIBA PRODUCT. I tried calling Toshiba and got hung up on 3 times and put on hold way too long. DO NOT BUY TOSHIBA.
Summary: Seemed like a great computer. Bought it for my father in law. When we went to unplug it and move it to another room it died instantly. There is no battery charge. We looked on line and found this is a common problem with this computer. Amazon said they can not help because it has been more than 30 days. I guess it is okay because it works when it is plugged in. I wouldnt have spent the money on this laptop if I had known.
Summary: Horrible horrible audio (w/ quality headphones and/or speakers) and poor choppy video with all of my drivers updated. I can't believe a Toshiba product could actually be this poor. I don't think most of the other reviews are for the same computer (Toshiba Satellite C55-A with Intel Core i3-3120M Processor). Don't fall for the low price like I did--this is junk.
