big disappointment

cesco, Harvey Norman

  • Excerpt: Expected it to be comparable to a computer, but find it much more difficult to use.if the pad was in the centre, it might not be so awkward.

poor sound

jamshed57, Argos
8 July 2014
  • Summary: this is an excellent base laptop but lets itself down with poor speakers The new Windows 8 system takes time to figure out Having checked reviews about this model they missed the poor sounds which are only enhanced when using decent over the ear headphones Would loved to have returned it but doesn't qualify Advise spend a bit more and check performance with a reputable web site before buying

Easy to use

Taffy, Argos
8 July 2014
  • Summary: This laptop does just what I expected it to. After a great deal of 'playing around', (there is NO instruction manual/idiots guide), it is ok to use, but, like most laptops today, comes fully unloaded ! No Microsoft Works, no facility for typing letters onto, and no real photo studio. I created my own to upload from my camera. And I find that if idle for more than a few minutes, it requires the user to log back on.

Not novice friendly

Geri-Pop, Argos
18 June 2014
  • Summary: This laptop is not for the techy novice, the system that it uses is difficult to understand and I'm still trying to get the font reduced a week later so that I can read a full page at a time and not only 3/4 of a page. It took my techy pal over 4hrs to get it set up. Not Toshiba's fault, rather Windows operating system being a nightmare! Plus I am STILL unable to get Microsoft Office to install on the laptop advises there is a problem. I wouldn't buy it again.

Value for money

Emmie, Argos
11 June 2014
  • Summary: Light weight and portable, good screen size, graphics are good. love the keyboard, lettering is plain and simple and a good size. A couple of things that would have made it better for me... Its just an OCD thing.. but the mouse touch pad is not set in the middle, its off set to the left. The sound quality is not great, Ive tried changing the settings, but its not made a difference.
