Summary: I've had one of these for about seven months now and let me tell you, it runs like a charm. I love just about everything about it- it's a very reliable computer, it has a high resolution, it has great sound quality and a good internal mic, it has plenty of ram... But my one big issue with it is that when you play video games? It gets hot. REALLY hot.
Summary: I can't say how well it works gaming wise because I'm not a gamer. But the 3D is great! Google Earth won't work with factory installed Nvidia Graphics so I updated my Nvidia graphics to 314.22 updating to any Nvidia graphics driver newer than 314.22 will cause display issues, so stick with 314.22 I also swapped out my wireless adapter (intel Centrino 2230 with Intel Centrino Advanced 6235 dual band.
Pros: Awsome 3d, fast boot up
Cons: 24ghz Single Band Adapt, Nvidia Driver Past 31422
Summary: i buy this laptop because im a graphic designer, and i like it, its not heavy its big but you can use it, i dont like win 8 i had problem whit them, i dont know if i spect too much from the computer, sometimes its slow to start, but gaming designen editing photo big images really big became easy faster and good, i will like this screen bright littel less because sometimes my own reflection its kind of piss off, i dont know why but my keyboard dosent fit perfectly therse...
Summary: It includes 16GB DDR3 (it was a bit confusing to me as in the Product Description from Amazon you can read "12 GB of installed DDR3 RAM", but happily the right specification is 16 GB). I like the glowing letters in the back, and the fast 4 USB 3 ports. I love the Nvidia 3d feature, I can play my games and watch my blu ray movies in 3D.
Summary: I plan on keeping this computer but after installing the Nvidia programs 2x I started having trouble, the system would have a blank screen, the driver for the palm control and mouse would act up-system had message on screen that it was trying to recover it. After installing it the 1st time I had to reload the system like it came from the factory and it worked great until I reinstalled the Nvidia programs.
Summary: I am a super-geek. I want a laptop with a big screen, big memory capacity and the ability to have 2 hard drives. The memory capacity of this laptop is 32GB which is really nice! Also, you can have 2 hard drives in this baby! I think the memory on the video is 2GB? I'm sold. The only question left is how easy it it to install Windows 7/8 and have the drivers ready to go without hassle.
Summary: I bought this computer because I wanted a 17" with 3D capability and blu-ray viewing. To me it seemed like Toshiba has some of the strongest processor specs for a good price. I like to keep a laptop for 4 - 5 years so I did not want some underpowered processor which becomes obselete quickly. I looked at Dell and HP and settled on this unit. The first unit I bought directly from Toshiba. This one was defective because the 3D did not function properly.
Summary: Lots of CPU power, good graphics card, I'd give the hardware 5 stars on it's own. My only complaint is with Windows 8 which is certainly not Toshiba's fault. Of course some people will like Windows 8, it's really a mater of personal taste. And to be fair I didn't give it much of a chance. I turned the machine on, thought "yuck" and started looking for alternatives. To my mind Windows 8 tries to turn your PC into a overpowered sell phone/tablet.
Summary: This is a great laptop and so far I am very impressed. I wish the battery lasted longer so I can be more mobile, and less reliant on a plug-in. The design is sleek, and impressive and the processor speeds are super fast.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Well Designed
Cons: 3d Vision Is Complicating, Battery Lasts 25 Hrs
