Summary: My mother somehow got the impression that this was the laptop to buy. As someone with a lot of hardware knowledge, I was shocked that anyone would buy this for ANY purpose except for watching 3D movies on their laptop (and really, who does that?). It's not even close to powerful enough to run the latest games at high settings with GOOD framerates (>50), so you're not going to be using it for that.
Summary: Bought this for work. Loaded the Toshiba DynaDock and personalized my settings. Everything was going great until I unplugged the USB cable from the DynaDock to the laptop. The laptop made a winding down noise and shut off...never to return to life again. I never had bad luck with Toshiba until this one, so I'm not writing off the brand. But I guess luck runs out at some point. Returned for refund including the DynaDock.
Summary: First i need to say that i'm brazilian, so my english is not excellent. I've just bought this laptop, felt it really big and powerfull. Liked the visual, the sound and the resolution is really great. Tested some games like LoL and Wow at full configurations , and it was doing great(fps on wow was higer 40). But I need to say some bad things about it: 1) Its too big, heavy (most of the weigth is from the charger).
Summary: Having had two of these and now only one I can give a very good review. First I bought this to play high end games and do video editing. Overall the computer has a lot of features and works well. The bad part is that you can burn yourself on the right side if playing games for a long time. I measured the temperature while playing Crysis 3 and it reached 155f 68c Skin can be burned at 140-150 so you need to be very careful.
Summary: Everything about this laptop seems Cheap. Would not buy it again. Also the picture shows a Blue-ray symbol on the dvd drive. When you get it... it's not there. And neither is the blue-ray player. I had to put the bottom panel together properly. I guess they couldn't manage that in the factory. If I had known how much I would hate learning to us windows 8 I would have gone for an Apple. I'm stuck with it now.
Summary: While the choice of GPU and CPU make this a good performing laptop, certain build quality and ergonomic issues make this a product I would NOT recommend. With regard to build quality, the trackpad is the worst I have ever experienced and the keyboard is cheap, loose, and rattles around in the device. With regard to ergonomics, the CD drive is placed where you will most frequently hold or reach for the laptop. It opens *constantly*.
Summary: I received the X875 yesterday. It is my very first gaming machine and the only laptop that comes with backlit keyboard. I wish the color is blue though. But still looking very cool. Here is some bad stuff. The air vent is on the right side. The cooling fan inside is constantly running at high speed, and it is a bit loud. I boot up windows, leaving it to load just the startup software (ie.
Summary: I bought this directly from Amazon and the screen/computer would flicker and turn off if the computer was moved even a tiny bit. Also some of the pixels would be dead when this happened. I received this computer on 9/4 and shipped it back on 9/5/12. It seemed good when it was working, with excellent sound and the 3D was nice. Unfortunately I could not explore the computer further.
