Summary: Excellent specs for the price. I bought this as a gaming desktop replacement almost 2 years ago and it still runs anything I play on max or near max settings. Pros: - Very sturdy (Literally 2 days after I got it, my messenger bag strap broke and this fell corner first onto pavement. Other than the noticeable scratches, I have had no problems with it. - Price vs.

Summary: I bought this item in November 2011. I purposefully waited until now to see how things went with this laptop. First let me say that it has literally taken 8-9 months to try and get used to the off-centered fingerpad. I don't think I will ever get used to it, because I continue to send the cursor in unknown places when typing because you can not help but touch it when you are typing because the pad is so wide and flush with the surface of the laptop keyboard.
Summary: Was in the market for a decent gaming laptop for around $1000.00. I have this one now for 5 months. I have no complaints it is durable and met my expectations thus far. It is a heavy laptop at 7.5 pounds but that is not an issue for me. It does get pretty hot running high graphic games, but a cooling pad handles that just fine. The processing speed for multi-tasking is awesome.
Summary: I have had MANY lap tops over the years due to type of work I do, often in extreme working environments. Even the "Tough Books" eventually succumb to the rigors. I have always considered the Toshibas slightly above mediocre overall when compared to some others not just in durability (build quality) but every other aspect. I have had far worse than Toshiba and far better.
Summary: I had been looking at all the gaming laptops around and $1200 is fairly standard for a solid Nvidia 560 machine. The processor, though only dual core, will still be more than adequate for any game. Very few games use four cores and if you're not doing serious multitasking the dual cores will be more than enough. I have been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic on it and it does as well as my hardcore gaming desktop with that game with all the graphics turned to max.
Hard Drive had to be replaced after 1 month! & 2 YR UPDATE

Summary: Update: I shipped it back to Toshiba after it could not read the hard drive and then would not turn on because apparently the hard drive is defective. Not good. This laptop has sat on a desk since I got it so no it has not been mistreated. My daughter is heart-broken she is computer-less for a few weeks. She likes it but I am not impressed. I know some of you love it but it should not be having this problem after a month. Maybe you work for Toshiba or something.
Summary: For the price, Nothing can beat this laptop. beautiful screen, graphics, and most of all a killer sound system. the i5 Intel processor, and the 1600*900 resolution are the downsides but, remember you are only paying 998 for this great laptop. Over all, i would recommend this laptop to anyone.
Summary: I was worried about buying a laptop over the internet. But to buy one with these specs at such a great price it was a no brainer. Yes, you can find it elsewhere for about the same price, but the key difference for me was that not only was I buying a great product to start with, but also having the peace of mind of doing it through Amazon. On top of that to have a laptop with a Nvidia GTX560 in it is already pretty amazing.
